Box protectors - what do people use and where to order from?

Topic says it all. I have been aquiring quite some Nintendo games in need of protection. It would be simple for me, if only one type/quality was available and only a couple of places where selling them. That's not the case, so I'm asking for some inside knowledge from those of you that are into usin...

Re: Esp Ra.De. - How to play after the Imput Menu

Anyways, having this as a hobby - owning a multimeter isn't a bad thing - it's actually required I might say.

Buying one won't set you back much compared to the mentioned PCB :-)

Re: NaoPi - a Raspberry Pi as Naomi loader

Well, the USB stick run through a usb extension cable functions fine - it's not like I will be changing games all the time. Could use some way of powering the Raspberry Pi on, when powering the Naomi on though. Seem to remember CN12 connector on the Naomi board mentioned somewhere. Is there anyone w...

Re: NaoPi - a Raspberry Pi as Naomi loader

Just got around to get all parts working yesterday, when getting the correct bin files to test with, and it runs just as mentioned. Now, if one could just have some sneaky way to change the game being presented to the Naomi. Right now the USB stick is placed external from the bottom of the cab, usin...

Re: European Bubble Bobble release?

In regards to original Bubble Bobble boards being dealt in Europe BITD I have an original Bubble Bobble marked November 88 from a Danish arcade distributer. Maybe they where few and far between, at least in Denmark, but the fact is that they where sold in Europe and also in Denmark where I also res...

Re: What obscure PCB(s) are in your collection that you love

Sega Suntory Tapper is probably the only really obscure PCB I own.

Nice game and a curiosity in regards to it's existence, which is a bit undocumented.

Re: Monitor turning off after 5 minutes

Well, might just have to pull that sucker out and have a look.

Chassis was changed for one that should have undergone a cap kit, but maybe there's a bad solder joint somewhere that causes these problems.

Will look into it and report back.

Monitor turning off after 5 minutes

So, I have one of my NACs which started acting up. Mentioned this in another thread, but wanted to make a seperate one with correct topic. As mentioned, the monitor just turns of after 5 minutes of gaming. Any in cab measurements I can take, that would bring me closer to fixing this and could it onl...

Re: Fitting 28" CRT TV in Astro City

Probably would be the best to have it fixed in the long run.

The problems I'm facing right now is that the monitor turns black after aprox. 10 minutes of gameplay.

The game continues to play, as I can hear game sounds etc..

Re: Fitting 28" CRT TV in Astro City

I'm toying around with the idea of replacing the monitor and chassis in one of my Astro City machines, with a CRT TV with RGB input through SCART instead. Mostly I seem to find 28" TVs - and not 29" as the stock monitor size is. Anyone have any experience how the fit of a say 28" Panasonic is in th...

Is this a pin on the neck card? I have some kind of brid running on the tube and ending in a black wire, but should this be attached to the neck card?

Re: Cracking/ticking sound when turning off NAC

Just checked and there is a black wire going from the neckboard to around the flyback.

Just changed the chassis and neckboard and I experienced the same sounds with the old chassis/neckboard combination.

Any ideas?

Cracking/ticking sound when turning off NAC

I'm experiencing some ticking/cracking sound, when I turn of my NAC with MS8 and Toshiba tube.

With the monitor out of the cab I can't see any sparks or anything. Is this kind of sound normal enough for this kind of monitor?
I'm not experiencing the same with the MS9 in my other machine.
