Re: 3rd Strike 990608 vs. 990512

It came in today :D The seller loaded 990512 on there from his burnt copy but included what I presume to be the 990608 original disc. He also threw in an original marquee and movelists. Needless to say, I'm very pleased, thanks for the help guys. Here it is http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php...

Re: 3rd Strike 990608 vs. 990512

It's a CD version, and it's on it's way right now (SO EXCITED!). If I decide to flash 990512 can i just extract an iso from the chd file that ggpo uses and burn it at a low speed?

3rd Strike 990608 vs. 990512

If I buy a 3rd Strike kit that is advertised as version 990608, is there any way that I can somehow convert it to run as version 990512? Could I just burn a copy of the 990512 CD and run it that way? Another question... Should I even care what version it is? How different are these two versions anyw...

Not worth it IMO, especially if the sound board and connecting cables aren't included.

Re: Looking at a few cabs as well! (and finally got one)

Hey Paladin, did you order your ebay Blast from Ken at the gameroom in Utah? If so, let us know how it went, I've been considering doing business with him but his prices are higher than what I'd have to pay if I were to buy from an individual as opposed to a business.

Re: Looking at a few cabs as well! (and finally got one)

Gotta respect the old man. It's pretty sad for a 23 year old to buy an arcade imo. Really? Well what would be the correct age for buying a cab oh great wise one :palm: ? I would like to meet you on n-g.com so i can express my true feelings towards this ridiculous statement you made  Sorry for...

Re: KOF XIII

I've been to my local arcade about 5 times since they got KOFXIII and I haven't even been interested enough in it to give it a try. Of course that's mostly because it costs a dollar, but also it just doesn't look very fun, plus no one is ever playing it.

Re: Any word of an arcade release of MvC3 and SFxT?

MvC3 for sure it wont come out for arcades, its made for the usa console market. SFXT could be, Tekken is really big in the asian arcades. Stick arcades are not dead sir, there still alot of fighting and shmup games coming out, the thing is that capcom did not sell as whell as they would of liked w...

Re: Looking at a few cabs as well! (and finally got one)

Dude I can't get my astro city to fit in my room. I'm in the process of taking it apart. It's stuck in my living room right meow. I live in the US were we have standard 29" doors (I think), The astro is just a little bit narrower than that so I didn't have any problem fitting mine through the front...

Re: Where are all the Mortal Kombat Arcade PCBs??

I picked up a Mortal Kombat PCB and audio board from a guy on craigslist for $20 a few weeks ago. I'm a Street Fighter fan myself though. Search around locally and on forums like these and you should be able to source some boards pretty easily. And as the guys above me stated, the board is pretty la...

Re: Looking at a few cabs as well! (and finally got one)

What's sad about a 23 year-old buying a cab? I'm only 20, I picked up my first cab a few weeks ago and if I ever move to a place with a little more space I plan to acquire as many as I can afford/fit in my place.

Wow nice Blast man, excellent condition. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up paying for it? I need to get my hands on a tri-sync cab soon.

Re: Solutions for connecting consoles to Nanao MS8 monitor?

Is there any way to get a 360 to output 15 khz? I've been looking all over for this info but surprisingly I can't find any reliable answer. Thanks.

Do most of your local arcades take cards or tokens or legal tender? Arcade UFO here takes legal tender (quarters and dollar coins) so I assumed that was the norm.

Re: XBOX 360 wireless pad hack - info needed.

Make sure it is a more recent model of wireless controller, the earliest models did not have a common ground setup so will not work for your purposes. Yeah I hacked an early model wireless 360 pad last week and it took me a very very long time to solder to the d-pad contacts. It'll range from mildl...

Re: Solutions for connecting consoles to Nanao MS8 monitor?

Does this mean I shouldn't have ordered a JammASD? I'm concerned my 360 won't be able to send a compatible signal to it. How easy will it be for me to hook up a 360 with a JammASD and what res will it output, 15khz or 24?

Okay, since I've had similar aspirations for a couple years now, here's what I see as needed for me and others to go to arcades again. 1) Working games - Can't have broken or otherwise nonfunctional games eating up floor space. I think the japanese were onto something in the use of universal cabine...

Re: Coin Door Locks

Does anyone have any experience unlocking an Astro City coin box? I'd do anything to get into mine as long as I don't have to mess up the door, I don't care about messing up the lock as I'd be replacing it anyway.
