Re: What is your rarest jamma pcb / jamma kit right now

I guess a toss up between a Rayforce/Layer Section and a US Blue Mega Man 2 on battery?

Thanks, but it wasn't a connection issue since the flash process itself failed immediately. Confirmed microSD Card issue with: SanDisk Ultra 16GB UHS-I/Class 10 Micro SDHC SDSDQUAN-016G-G4A Not to be confused with it's identical packaged and older version: SDSDQUA-016G-G4A Worked with my older SanD...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

It is worse for some people. I have heard a few recordings that were really annoying. We will try to remedy it for sure. Mine is a Rev4 B Board with an original Capcom G PAL3 and the audio is pretty bad. It is a lifted Pin9 to the JP17 now and it is consistent, not just the intro. Like Yodd said, i...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Can you elaborate on that high line routing? I would do first as mrjamma suggested. On the Rev 3 and 4 B Boards with a G Pal specifically. It has been said for years that due to the layout of these PCBs, that the Qsound samples routing to Pin 9 of the G PAL (PAL3) routes a low address line Vs the n...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Hi @ReplicaX . What if you remove the jumper wire completely, take out the G pal chip, bend pin 9 upwards, reinsert the chip without that pin inserted, solder directly onto that pin 9, and connect the other end of the wire to J17 pin (from memory) on the multi kit - does this fix your audio issue? ...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Anyone else having issues with the sound? I'm getting a lot of background crackling/clicking/distortion. It is completely silent when there's no sound, for example in the menu, but as soon as music/effects come on, there's quite a lot of background crackling going on. I've changed my setup in vario...

Try reseating the boards again. And make sure all connections are firmly pressed together. Thanks, but it wasn't a connection issue since the flash process itself failed immediately. Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

I was using this for a while... But I went back to my 8GB Class-4 (currently installed inside the shell or I'd snap a pic) because the Ultra Class wasn't any faster on the device, also 16GB was overkill ROMs wise. ;) Same one I have, so I will recheck everything. Overkill, but it was cheap on Amazo...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

Got my kit in today and the box was beat up a little, but nothing was bent or damaged. I get an instant Load Fail hitting enter, game list comes up fine. I assume this multi does not like my 16GB SanDisk Ultra Class 10 SDHC. Sadly, I don't have another microsd to test with. Everything is installed a...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hello everyone! Just joined the forum since I see a bunch of my friends already here. I'm not much of an arcade collector (I don't even have a cab) but I have the bad habit of consolizing arcade boards with swappable cartridges. Currently have consolized MVS, Atomiswave, and CPS2 setups. Welcome Go...

Re: Attempting to Pheonix Capcom Slam Masters, trouble with HN27C4096G-12

Had the GQ-3x myself, and switched to a Wellon programmer. The difference is that with the Wellon I'm really surprised if I have trouble, with the GQ I was very surprised if everything worked on the first try.. Same, only I had a 4x, tried multiple cables, PSU or no PSU. Reflowed the ZIF and adapte...

Re: Nanao MS8 ??

Comfirmed to be a MS8-26SU. Reflowed the CRT socket, no fix. Dropped it off at my old bosses shop so he can mess with it at this point. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Re: Nanao MS8 ??

check the solder on the crt socket are you loosing picture or sync? I don't think it is a sync issue. Game is fine and clean on screen then just intermittently goes black with no picture. It's a 50/50 so first I looked for cold solder joints on the chassis. I will look at the CRT socket, didn't eve...

Fixed: Nanao MS8-26SU

I ended up fixing it, was bad connection at Q572. Had factory silicone on the solder side even. Original Post: This is on a Mits tube. Chassis # 05A00460C1 Guessing it is a MS8-25FA or MS8-26SU. MS8-25FA would make sense as it is in a Mortal Kombat dedicated. Power is good. Neck glow & Raster is the...
