Re: Aero City - Coin Mech switch
That did it, thanks. Not sure why those pieces of plastic and metal that were being held by the slot screws were there, but gone now. Should there be some sort of guide around where the coin drops through the switch? I can see coins getting bumped wayside before reaching the coin box.

Aero City - Coin Mech switch
I feel like i'm blind and i'm looking right past something obvious, but i've never hooked up a coin mech before. https://i.imgur.com/Jghbp5ol.jpg Where do I put the coin switch? just came in the mail today and I remember thinking there was an obvious place for it, but opening the cab I can't seem to...

Re: Snow Bros (PCB / MAME)
Almost 9 years later, I finally beat GaijinPunch!

Love this game, but it's frustrating how your high score relies on getting the speed up pickup early, and there's nothing you can do to control that.

Re: Aero City - Square hole next to coin slot
Yeah there appears to be two revisions of Aero City, I'd say this cabinet is probably the first one, with the control panel offset to the left a bit, this weird hole, and no access to the inside of the cabinet from the back. Not sure if there is any other notable differences.

Aero City - Square hole next to coin slot
Hey
Does anyone know what this hole is for
it's always been empty on my cabinet but I assume some owners have something to fill it. The space seems too small for a card reader, but I could be wrong.

Does anyone know what this hole is for

Re: Sega Aero City Cabinet locks
Super late reply but thanks so much everyone who contributed here - your photos and advice came in super useful. It took 5 months of back and forth emails with several long lulls of not getting any replies, but Yaton came through with the parts! I got all the lock tongs which fit perfectly, an Aero ...

Re: Sega Aero City Cabinet locks
Thanks geotrig, and thanks Yosai, will get back to you :) If you need any more pics, let me know what you need pics of. Mine came with all original locks but no keys, had to track those down. Can you please photo the inside of your main door lock, and the tongs(?) inside you control panel, that are ...

That's the locked position there. You have an Aero City? Besides this, keen to get some photos of the control panel tongs, so I can put together a wanted post

Here's what i've got:

Thanks for the offer Yosai, will make some measurements tonight. The bronze coloured tangs(?) are for the control panel, and unfortunately are the wrong size as well :/

Sega Aero City Cabinet locks
Hey Picked up an Aero City cabinet a while ago and it didn't come with any locks. Yaton recently put Aero City 5380 locks up on eBay, so I jumped on them and purchased a couple of keys online. Now they're arrived, i'm having issues. The main issue is with the main door and coin mech door - the lock ...

Re: Aero City / table headphone option?
Did anyone end up getting one of these? I ordered one, it hasn't arrived yet (and my cab is in pieces on the floor). I don't quite understand how it prevents the cabinet speakers from working? edit: read on Jamma Nation X's instagram that you have to add a switch to prevent the speakers getting audi...

Re: Aero City Control Panel top layer peeling
Thanks everyone for your suggestions so far. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Still feel convinced that I could get it off without taking the paint. Duraseal probably wouldn't be the best solution for resealing, I'd try to find something else a bit stronger/better wearing. Rossyra's I feel like will ...

Re: Aero City Control Panel top layer peeling
Unless anyone has any advice against it, i'm going to peel the rest of the top layer off with help from the hairdryer this weekend. After that, I was planning to put on clear book cover seal (duraseal, as we call it in New Zealand). Not feeling super confident about this solution!

Aero City Control Panel top layer peeling
The top layer of my Aero City panel always had a tiny amount of peel around the screw holes, but recently a large section was lifted accidentally (we painted the back with anti-rust paint and it lifted with the masking tape removal). I can see on the section that has lifted there is a little paint f...

Where to buy a high quality power supply
Hey all :D I picked up an old beat up Aero City that i'm working to restore to it's former glory. One of the major missing parts is the power supply. It would be nice to replace it with the real deal, but it seems unlikely i'm going to come across one any time soon. Does anyone have a recommendation...

Re: Yahoo Auctions and proxies? How does it all work?
Notably I haven't updated that fee comparison thing in forever. I use fromjapan these days, they're quite good. Overall it's usually worthwhile, you generally undercut ebay prices significantly and items tend to be in much better condition.

My experience with riverservice - Order 14th Invoice 16th Paid 18th Sent 23rd Arrived 7th. They threw in a phone charm, and all of the emails I received were hand written which I appreciated. Overall I recommend them though the order could have gone through a little faster. edit: wrote aki instead o...

Akihabara Shop still in business?
Hey, anyone order from akishop recently? I see the website is back up, but the latest update is from mid 2013, and haven't seen anyone order anything from there recently. Just need a few buttons and a stick for my HSS-0136
Cheers
