You're right. I have one with a 2p 12b panel and if I were to ever lose that, the can may as well be useless. Too rare.

Re: Updating Groovymame Rom Set ?

To save yourself from headache...

1) Download the latest MAME rom set
2) Use Romcenter or ClrMamePro with the 0.171 romlist dat file to "downgrade". Basically just sorting out the roms that can be played and removing dirty and incompatible roms, etc.
3) Enjoy

Re: Items stv faps to on Yahoo Japan Auctions

How do people handle bigger purchases like arcade cab ones? I mean, do they use bidding services like Rinkya? Do such services handle bigger items like arcade cabs (which are heavy and need special care)? Like Hellfromabove said, they don't. I made a couple arcade cab purchases through buyee.jp and...

Adding to my collection (waiting on shipment):

Sega New Net City
Egret 2

Probably will eventually sell off either my Pony Mark IV or Sammy VideoWorld (Tosh) in this case. Don't have quite the room for four cabs.

Re: What's the best mutli game Jamma PCB?

In all honesty, JPAC + PC w/ GroovyMame and CRT Emudriver. All of the other xxxx-in-1 just don't have the overall accuracy. Some of the games will run accurately, though, then others either have some issue with frequencies, frame rates or poor sound. For the games you listed? Maybe you won't have to...

Re: Should I keep Pony IV or sell toward Egret II

The rotate mech is nice, but its not like you're going to rotate it every day. If you do get it make sure the monitor is good and you don't have to resort to repro art for everything. MS9 is a nice monitor though.

Just let me know what you decide. No worries. ;)

Re: Tecmo Kyotaro 29 vs. Sega New Astro City

In the US, I've seen Kyotaro on Craigslist go for $500, whereas the NAC varies from $400-900 depending on condition. NAC usually have the MS9 monitor while the Kyotaro has the MS8. Matter of pref, but both are good 15khz monitors. NAC is easier to source parts from. NAC is a good starter cabinet, es...
