Re: Kraut Buster

Looks like a good game, a big achievement overall given the complexity of the Neo Geo.
(edited - I will wait to play it in person before making any comments)

Re: exA-Arcadia

It's quite impressive really the progress of the hardware. Hardware specifications listed seems quite powerful enough for the suggested price. Although it may not be representative of final product, on twitch I noticed the system was able to boot into the game menu quickly from a restart. I did not ...

Re: exA-Arcadia

At the end of the twitch stream they briefly showed cassette / cartridge that were quite long and look easy to plug in. My impression is that the h/w unit appears to be smaller and lighter than a Taito TX2, if so that that will help with shipping. Aka & Blue now looks very polished and it was also g...

Re: Traditional Console Death! Long Live Streaming?

OnLive was ahead of it's time as a streaming box (720p), the latency was not too bad on first person games but noticeable on fast input games. Although I was located within 100 miles of a server. Apparently they had almost a 'whole PC's' worth of processing for each user online, so the system could ...

Re: SFV: Arcade Edition Coming to Japan Arcades in 2019

Tekken 7 has slapped SFV around the face with it's massive sales.

Especially as it was in the arcades for a couple of years for being released on console.

Who would have thought that could possibly work :awe:

Re: Capcom Belt Action Collection (PS4)???

I pre-ordered the 'limited' box as the book tempted me. I'm sure it will just be a printed version of the digital in game art library?

I'm a sucker for Capcom stuff and have owned the CPS power changer system in the past.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Have you been in contact with Bikkuri Software, I think Graze Counter EX would be perfect for the system? Also triangle service always seem to make interesting games, that Pengo multiplayer was insane fun. :awe: An 'in house' development team is one thing that other companies have used to get new sy...

Re: Naomi Replacement Fan Mount

You could use an ATX to JVS adapter to replace the SUN PSU. I did this on a Sega Chihiro with a ACE black silent PSU.
No ideas on the keeping the fan in place, perhaps some form of bonding paste?

Re: Naomi Replacement Fan Mount

Yes, I definitely want to go for less noisy replacements as you say not the stock parts listed on the wiki.

Is the part you used almost silent? how does the noise compare to a stock dreamcast. (by way of a comparison if you have one)

A photo would be cool so we can see what's going on

Re: Naomi Replacement Fan Mount

I have this also on my list of jobs to research/do as well.

Would not one of these fan models recommended on the wiki fit strait in?

https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Replacing_a_NAOMI_Fan

I recently did a Taito TX2 that has 4 fans and it took ages, about 6 hours including a full clean. :wtf:

Re: How do you store your bare pcb?

For games that I don't play offen I use some of the "really useful" brand of box's sold in the UK, along with some antistatic bubble wrap inside. They are quite robust with tough plastic and stackable so you can fit a lot together in a small space and being transparent you can see what's inside (as ...

Will the arcade h/w be sold to consumers or it exclusive for operators in Japan because of security and so on? https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=61681&start=101 "each release will have a limited edition run with extra goodies just for the collector".
