Re: Best place to buy shmups in Tokyo?

You could check out KVC Lab. They have a website with decent prices from time to time but do have a store in Tokyo too.

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?

Yep, that's one serious problem with those IREM boards :shifty: That's why I'm more after 1941 right now. But that game seems to be quite rare too. An untested (!) board sold for over 70,000 Yen last week :wtf:

1941: Counter Attack and Undercover Cops (JP). Those are the two I'm looking for the most.

WTB: 1941 Counter Attack PCB

I don't care for the region as long as it's an original board. Thanks!

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions

I wonder what's a fair price for 1941: Counter Attack. A 'Junk' PCB is currently available on Yahoo, but it's already at 40k Yen

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Price check on a 1941 Counter Attack PCB. This doesn't show up too often and it's one of the few PCBs I'd like to obtain. There is one sitting on Yahoo for ages at 120k Yen but I think that's way too much. On the other hand Suruga-ya has one listed for 148k Yen and I think their prices are halfway r...

If it's the EXA game that's been rumored, I'd bet on a DDP Maximum port. EXA is mostly mobile/indie > arcade ports (with a 1000% markup).
This would be my bet too. However, I do have the slighest hope new games will be made by CAVE afterwards. A man can dream, can I?

It's a full boxed kit with poster.
But I think it's missing the registration card

$1400 for a pristine one last week:

Yeah I saw that one too and I didn't think it would sell so fast for that price. I was recognizing this more like a $1000 game. Oh well, expensive stuff :(

It is. The 1P Japanese version should be around double that price.

Any input on a Japanese Night Slashers?

Re: Hyper Neo Geo 64 JAMMA connection question

Since the Rev. 1 is using standard JAMMA you should be good to go. The only Hyper Neo Geo board that supports the MVS pinout is the Rev. 2 fighting board. And this one has two switches underneath to change between JAMMA and MVS. The only thing to take care of with a Rev. 1 mobo are the JST connector...

Re: Hyper Neo Geo 64 JAMMA connection question

If your board has no JAMMA edge at all it's the shooting board which will only be capable to play Beast Busters 2nd Nightmare. As I would assume you want to play the fighting games? You would need the fighting board then. There are two revisions (both have the JAMMA edge and therefor are compatible ...

I don't own any of these games, unfortunately, but can someone tell me if the board dimensions for all the Cave 68000 and all the Toaplan version 2 games are the same for each hardware type? In short: No. There are some games that use the same layout and dimensions but some do differ slightly or ob...

Space Bomber, I'm seeing prices of 300 bucks back 4 years ago. Is it really worth that much?
I'd think it's more of a ~250€ game. Haven't kept track on recent auctions but IIRC the last one on Yahoo was about 20,000 Yen. Hope that helps.
