Re: Need some help with Chihiro Type 3 netbooting.

My chips have all come from the UK. I know of some people who have had issues with Italian (or was it Spanish?) chips. Also I keep hearing this about the raspberry or laptop having to remain on? This has never been the case for me. Reset after boot is common behaviour if there is a problem. However...

It feels wrong to call a new game for Neo lazy, but the mor or less complete recreation of MS sprites is a bit much

Re: SSS won't start on a ST-V

This sort of error may mean that the motherboard config needs changing. Naomi does similar with some games (usually based on test mode rotation setting or controller types), as does Taito F3. I've never used ST-V, but things to try would be input settings, game/motherboard config or perhaps reset to...

Re: Street Fighter V

14 years? Christ. To be honest I don't even know what Capcom do these days other than repaint Street Fighter. I was a little out but the first one was released Oct 2001 on GBA, and the next two games were all on GBA. Much of the reason they made a fourth one was because of the Western sales, and th...

Re: Street Fighter V

It's kern's fault. They followed him to the Playstation. The art and character design in the Ace Attorney games is very classic Capcom. They still have a bit of the old talent stored in a broom cupboard. The first game is now 14 years old, and all the others are naturally just trying to copy that. ...

Well it's entirely possible I just sold it at the wrong time, but I traded £80's worth of stuff for it in the first place on this forum a couple of years ago.

Re: What's it worth?

What is Elevator Action Returns worth? Taito F3 - Cartridge only As a guide I paid £130 for Cart + Mobo of this late last year. So around £100 for the cart, maybe a little less. On the other hand I struggled to sell my cart for £50-80 (I forget the exact amount but assume it was on the lower end).

Re: Chihiro - no sync

The only thing I could find on this was that for some reason the Rodotron chassis seems to dislike Chihiro (or vice versa), but the only mention of that is on this very forum in one post. I'm wondering if this is potentially fixable in some form as a changing monitor or getting another cab isn't rea...

Chihiro - no sync

I just received a Type 3 Chihiro, but it won't output any video in my cab. I've checked the caps on the motherboard and it works fine plugged into an lcd when running from a ATX psu. I've been able to run the hardware test and load up Outrun 2 enough that it gives the expected I/O error (as it wasn'...

Re: The Last Naomi Game

That's pretty odd logic. I don't really follow that the clear sequel is somehow less 'proper' than a second remix of a game (which came out on N2, a platform that died years before N1).

Certainly those two look much better than a lot of the older stuff.
Sega released Dynamite Deka EX on N1 two years after VF4FT (which may have been the last N2 title at least)

It'll also have Japanese text on the story roll. It varies between games, but basically all the early Sega published games will have Japanese and English regions on the same cart. For example the Toaplan games like Fire Shark and Truxton are published by Sega and can be switched to Same Same Same an...

An original can be found for under £25, I paid £10 for my legit Jp board about 6-8 weeks ago on ebay (admittedly it had a worn edge connector which had been touched up with solder)

For ebay I would put it up at £12-15 start and try your luck
