Re: Going to Akihabara - Recommendations please

For arcades "Hey" is basically the defacto tourists must visit place. Not the cheapest, but the selection is amazing, and you can't miss the place.

Re: Question about Taito F3 video output

TVs handle different resolutions in different ways, regardless if they are all 4:3 or not. Arcade games often don't run in perfect 4:3 anyways in my experience. Every time I switch boards in the cab, the size must be adjusted, it's just the way it is. I even have to adjust size on my X68000 computer...

It's your scaler/lcd setup. Spend a little and get a setup that doesn't suck. :awe:

Re: Question about Taito F3 video output

Umm if the image is stretched then you simply need to lower the vertical size of your monitor. (Or raise the horizontal size). An MVS is not an F3. If you want a perfect image you have to adjust size, color, brightness, etc every time you change boards... :palm:

Re: DISPL IS THE POWER! Crucify the XRGB!

I have a cab myself and is what I usually play on. But sooner or later it will have to go. I like being prepared for any possibility. :)

DISPL IS THE POWER! Crucify the XRGB!

My first post here in a long time, I've been too busy messing with my X68000. Anyway I discovered the true lost ark. This thing truly blew my mind, it stuns me every time. Where has this thing been all my life? https://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoembedyoutubeproperly.com/watch?v=zkuc-9dlrs0

Don't know about R-Type 2, but my Kengo board (same pcb) looks identical to your R2. And the sound pot functions properly on mine.

Re: Drift Out 94 woes

totally normal for this game. Whenever I put mine in the cab or on the wega i have to move the picture all the way to the right but i can see the whole thing. PVMs are nice monitors but they are not a substitute for a real arcade monitor.

I bought my Salamander 2 directly from MAK-Japan a few years ago, and it has this same error. Totally normal for this game.

Re: Can you run a MODEL 2C CRX in 15khz mode?

and when you say the XPC-4 supports 24 khz, you mean it could convert it to 15khz or 31 khz? Correct. I have never used one personally, but one of the features advertised is that it can accept and convert 24khz video. The newest firmware revision adds 15khz output, so it should work in theory. Be a...

Pretty sure there is no JP MegaCD Snatcher.
The Sega CD version was created for the USA.

Re: Puzzle Bobble recommendations

2X is my favorite. Normal 2 has the same puzzles in both "Normal" and "Hard" modes. 2X replaces "Hard" with "X Mode." It has all new expert puzzles. Basically 2X has twice as many puzzles as standard 2. 3 sucks, don't bother. 4 has the bubbles on weighted chains, personally I'm not a fan of it, I pr...
