Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Hi all, Thinking about getting rid of my some of my arcade collection as time means it's not getting the attention it deserves (I know, I know - boo hiss etc.). What is this lot roughly worth these days? Sega New Astro City, 2 player 6 button NVS-4000 (Intended to put it in the NAC, never got around...

I for one would be interested in more details on the Neo 29 - pics, screen burn, etc. :D

Re: NVS-4000 Help

Yup, I can get you a picture of the inside if you want/need. Yes please, that would be very useful. :D Think I'm going to give it a good clean like you did on yours. Correct, the amp screws into the wooden board, however the wooden board does not screw into your cab. That's why I threw it out and m...

Re: NVS-4000 Help

The board is 150 mm x 440 mm x 12 mm. The plugs are AMP UP. You can find the exact pinouts in the manual IIRC. I've got some pics here and here's one of the front and the pinout (sorry for the back light). Let me know if you need some more assist :awe: http://v2.pxl.se/i/0if.th.jpg http://v2.pxl.se...

NVS-4000 Help

I've managed to get hold of an NVS-4000 for my NAC, but alas it's missing a few bits. Nothing major (I hope) but I could do with a little advice on getting it ship shape. It's missing the bit of wood that usually sits on the bottom (http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/File:NVS4000.jpg) could someone let m...

Re: Which cable is this?

Could only find one result via google, one that was sold 2,5 years ago :P http://aucview.aucfan.com/yahoo/e132154704/ I have a few lines out for this one, if that doesn't succeed, is there anybody who could help me with the pinout so I could make one myself? Did you ever have any luck?... I ...

Re: NAC speaker bezel damage and stereo sound

If you wanna go the DIY route, go for a simple normal amp like this one: https://www.cnet.com/products/lepai-lp-2020a-plus/review/ Had one of those in my NAC before I had the NVS4000 up and running. Rancor did me a favor when I was looking for the NVS4000 cables, I'd shoot him a PM. Otherwise you c...

Re: A tool for every job

Paulie, Soldering talk: I'm looking to replace my cheapo Antex. Any particular reason you went Metcal over Hakko? What model(s) of Hakko were you looking at? Would you make the same choice now?

Thanks :D

There are a couple on YAJ, but I wouldn't even know where to begin buying stuff from there.

http://videotronicsuk.com have a few sound amps, would any of those do the job?

Re: NAC speaker bezel damage and stereo sound

Thanks Davey. What did you use to do the melting and what sort of filler did you use?

Amp wise, any idea where I could get one of those from? :D

NAC speaker bezel damage and stereo sound

Hi all, Couple of New Astro City questions. First off there's a bit of damage to my speaker bezel thingamabob, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to fix (or replace) it? Re: Which 50" plasma to buy

Like I said my pio was not set on high contrast levels and not left on a static image for hours, Yes I had the Orbiter set to on and had been properly run in for 400+ hours on the recommended pioneer settings. The fact that most plasma's have an orbiter should tell you something about the tech rega...

Re: Which 50" plasma to buy

I've read about a few Kuros suffering from burn, but it's always games / browser use. You never get it from using normal TV / movie unless there is a fault. My 5090 gets quite a pounding on the games front (*shock* :awe:) and, not wishing to tempt fate, it's all good so far. I think so long at you'...

Re: Which 50" plasma to buy

Did you read my 1st post  Your statement is just plain wrong, Screen burn/Image retention is still an issue with plasma tech, My Pio gen 9 had been run in and I was so careful to the point of being obsessive with not leaving the same image on screen all the time,Didn't have it set overly bri...
