Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Update, finally got this up and running, yay 😀. I’m using a Naomi Sanwa Power Supply to do it. I did buy the JVS to ATX power cable and used a PC power supply that I wasn’t using and it seemed like it didn’t want to stay on. Not sure if it because I need to get another switch to rig it up or what si...

Re: Where can i purchase a Namco 246 Kick Harness?
That’s a CPS2 kickharness. Go to www.tops-game.jp and they have them there. You can however use a Capcom I/O for Namco System 246/256 and hook it up to the JVS I/O but you need to power up the motherboard separate. eBay has some Sega Naomi Power Cable to System 246/256 adapters

Re: Sega Ver. 2 I/O Jamma Converter Kick Harness
Tops has a CPS 1 to Sega Naomi I/0 kick harness on their website. If you have a CPS-1 kick harness, you can use that as an option. https://www.tops-game.jp/products/detai ... ct_id=5121

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Update: put another 1A fuse on the 12V fuse box holder. Tested SSF2, got sound and fan on board running again. At this moment I dare not try running system 256 on that power supply. So as you guys suggested, sanwa power supply is underpowered for System 256. Now if I’m going run system 256 through t...

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
I don’t think my question got really answered, can I just swap out fuses for higher current fuses on each line or do I have to change power supply as well when I change the sizes of the fuses? Would like to not have to do any serious modding if I don’t have to.

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Ok, well if that’s the case I saw on YouTube, Nozomi7585’s YouTube channel that the system 256 worked on his boardmaster when putting in Capcom Fighting Jam. Did he mod his boardmaster with higher current fuses?

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Looks like it’s something more serious than replacing the fuse
. I replaced the 1A fuse on the 12V line, fan on the system 256 started working, and then it crapped out again, so I blew the fuse unfortunately. Something is shorting the 12V and I’m not sure what it is.

Actually looked at the instructions, pulled the 12V fuse and looks like it’s blown, will be buying a replacement tomorrow

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Funny you mention that because I’m not getting sound from my CPS 2 board nor my system 256 when I first powered it up. Had to run audio directly to my PVM in order to get my sound to work. So if the 12 Volt isn’t working properly then what’s my next step? Replace the sanwa power supply or is it some...

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Ok I tested my SSF2 board and my fan isn’t running there either, but the game is running no problem. So am I to believe there is a problem with the 12 Volt on my Supergun?

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Here’s some thoughts, after looking at Tekken 5 instruction manual online, I noticed that the fan runs off the 12 Volt lead. Right now it’s currently not running and I ran the voltmeter on the 12 Volt and got no voltage off of that. So am I to assume that the fan is dead and needs replacement?

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
Can I use any DVD rom drive to replace it or does it have to be a specific DVD drive? Also I noticed when the board is powered up, the fan isn’t running so maybe it is the voltage issue. I checked it at the I/O and I checked it at the jammaboard connector. I’ll check the motherboard this weekend. On...

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
How high does the voltage need to go in order to properly power the board? I put it up to 5.16 V and still no luck, gives me stuck at the starting board screen still.

You are definitely right though, I’m getting 4.74 V when I put the lead on pin 1 and pin 3.

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun
I’ve seen pics of it done plus I’ve done it myself with my friends Capcom I/O. Your 5V voltage might not be on high enough on the boardmaster. By the way can you be a little more specific where I put the leads from the volt meter? Am I placing them on the 6 pin cable itself at the motherboard, the N...
