Re: IC: Repro Aero city 1P/2P panel and other SEGA / Taito custom panel
Received a pair of alberto1225's Irem Madonna panels and just wanted to say that the build quality is fantastic and the sizing perfect. Great work, won't hesitate to order from him again for future restoration projects.

Re: Locating stuff on Yahoo Auctions Japan
Now that Yahoo Auctions killed their rss feeds, is there a better way to keep track of items listed under a specified search term?

Re: Astro City and New Astro City becoming scarce
I watched a dozen of them go to the scrap yard late last year because no one wanted them. I managed to get (free) an Egret II, all of the PCBs, and a few monitors / chassis' but the rest of the **** went in the garbage because no one cares. I don't have enough room here to be the Oskar Schindler of...

Re: River Service Aero CP's
Here's what they sent me: Hi Chris, yes, you can buy whether the complete control panel (with Sanwa joysticks and Sanwa buttons and wiring) or just the metal plate with the sticker. The price for the first is 13,300 JPY and for the metal plate with sticker is 2,100 JPY. As per the shipping, is not m...

Cheers,

I emailed the folks over there and looks like the unpopulated control panel goes for 2,100 JPY. Not a bad price at all!
(I've got a couple Irem Madonna restoration projects, so I'll be ordering two Aero panels before long)

One more question for anyone that has these, is the River Service branding (stripes and logo) painted on, or is it an overlay?

If those are populated panels, that's a great price. What kind of hardware do they use?

Re: Adjustable feet for Madonna/Aero City?
I've got two Madonnas, I'll check on the condition of the feet this week, so I may be in for some if you make a run.

Re: Mame in cab thread. Frontends, gamelists, configuration etc.
Nice clean and bold. Very nice mate. That was a good idea with the jpegs. Lol, I think everyone starts by **** retrogui! :awe: Thanks! Retrogui is a great start for a theme, especially now that the console images have all been vectorized. Gonna work up a widescreen variant once I've got everything ...

Re: Mame in cab thread. Frontends, gamelists, configuration etc.
I went a similar route for the dedicated Daphne cab I'm working on. Base unit is an Interstellar Laser Fantasy, so the color scheme was made to match the cab art. Mala front end, also with a modified version of retrogui: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3527/3962576101_75af6ef613_o.jpg As this particu...

Re: Irem Madonna
As you proberly know the original monitors were Nanao branded so anything from an Aero City would do as that used a 26" also. Incorrect I'm afraid. Madonna used Nanao MS8-25, Aero City used MS8-26. repeat of pg1: JPN 26 = US 25 --> widely available JPN 25 (e.g. Madonna) --> not the same, very diffi...

Re: SF IV PC Release Date july 3rd!
its only really an issue if you are using a keyboard encoder like an IPAC or JPAC to interface the PC in a cab.....if you are using controllers(like xenepps boards) its not an issue at all Another option is a controller interface board like the GP-Wiz series from GGG (which is what I'll probably go...

Re: Whats it worth?
Not sure where you guys are getting your MVS shockboxes, but they aren't too hard to find for $7-10 (~6£), so it's pretty much just UK shipping from there. If you're patient, you can usually find them for similar prices in the N-G.com sales board as well.

Only other Madonna cab I have seen is the one owned by Briggs @ neogeo.com/hard mvs looks like he sold it though. Re: Cleaning PCB board
As long as the board is in good shape, you can wash it in the dish washer. Are you serious? Sounds somewhat ridiculous. :eh: Yep! Some people remove socketed roms (if you do, label em so you dont forget what goes where) before doing it, and like I said, don't use soap (or jetdry). You don't want to...

Re: Cleaning PCB board
As long as the board is in good shape, you can wash it in the dish washer. DON'T use soap, and let it air dry. At this stage I'll give the board a once over with some compressed air.
Once it's gone through the wash, don't plug it in until it's completely dry, natch.

Drilled out the locks and began cleanup today... one cab had 48000 plays, the other 43000.
For those of you familiar with these cabinets, what're my choices as far as monitors go?
