More of a.... mucus color, really.
It's hard to get the gold colour right with other materials... Look at how gold car paint is brownish.
Oh, I know. I'm just saying that it looks like I sneezed on my $1,200 cartridge.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Tanoshimasu has requested one last call on Aka & Blue Type-R sales before moving on. I am sure people here know by now that they are rather odd in how they do things but this is their game and request. If you are interested in the game and do not want to pay double the retail price down the line du...

Re: exA-Arcadia

In regards to that announcement of Aka & Blue Type R not going to produce anymore carts, I am not surprised about that. Aka & Blue's legacy will be fondly remembered as the shmup that brought back arcades before SDOJ EXA, if that game gets released when the pandemic is mostly over and done with. Ad...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Oh yeah, I'd just be buying direct. Just wasn't sure if EXA was going to limit availability so soon.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Is there any truth to this?

I've been holding off on buying anything, but if the games are gonna start disappearing... it'd be good to have a heads up on how long I have.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

For a bit of context, there was also a Batrider board that sold on Arcade-Projects about a month back for 1200 EUR (so, about $1420 with today's exchange rate.) That was an A board that had the B version roms burnt onto it.

Batrider A Version. What's that going for?
A ‘B’ version was on shmups for 1500usd, it’s now sold, not sure if that was the final selling price.
Final price was $1400. I know because I bought it.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Strania's finally out? It's tempting, but at this point, I feel like I'm just going to wait for SDOJ to pull the trigger on an EXA. I'll get Strania down the road.

Re: Red Bull - Playing Fields (Japanese Arcade Culture) New episode released

It doesn't matter how many times videos like this get trotted out - I always enjoy them. Though, I suspect that if I actually ever went to an arcade in Japan, I'd probably be pretty disappointed by what most of them have become.

Re: exA-Arcadia

That Strania hardware is incredible. I've never seen such a good LE system.

Anyway, cool to see the game is nearing release after radio silence for more than a year. AST is cool, though I kinda hope they include the OST as an option, given that the music was already so good.

Re: Xeno Crisis - Bitmap Bureau (MVS)

It is annoying that there's still almost no details on the NG version, though, even though it's supposedly near completion. Beyond a couple of vague statements that there would be some visual enhancements for the Neo version, there's been nothing... nor any indication of how the controls will be twe...

Re: exA-Arcadia

The fighting game that's out is Kung Fu Champion or whatever, right? I don't know what the appeal of that is... to anyone.

Anyway, only thing stopping me from buying an EXA and Aka & Blue at this point is that I have to figure out where to get the JVS IO thing. So laziness, basically.

Seems interesting enough.... provided, of course, that it's substantially different from the Steam version.

Music games are one of my favorite genres, though, so cool to see something along those lines.

Re: exA-Arcadia

I'm thinking about buying an Exa in the near future... but what JVS to JAMMA adapter should I buy for it? Ideally something that's readily available. The SEGA Rev B ones are fairly common and not too pricey. I believe it adds less lag than the Capcom one. The only advantage of the latter would be t...
