Re: Data east recommeded games

Really underrated and overlooked DECO game is Psycho-NICS Oscar, platformer with a gradius type powerup system, loved playing this at the local convenience store.

Re: Sega Astro City Mini

While its kewl that they're actually using the Arcade versions instead of the console games, I think they missed a trick here. They should have made 2 packages; Regular - HSS-0136 recreation that also could be used as a usb stick, or daisy chained with other regular/deluxe for multi. Deluxe - HSS-01...

Oh yeah definately, dont wanna come off as being down on it at all. Even thinking about a mister setup for my astro, because of its size, power and ease of use.

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released

FPGAs aren't any more or less accurare than emulators, its simply how well the machine is implemented in either.

Unless you have the 100% original HDL source and can program that into an FPGA, its really mostly best effort and sometimes best guess how the original operated.

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun

Update, finally got this up and running, yay 😀. I’m using a Naomi Sanwa Power Supply to do it. I did buy the JVS to ATX power cable and used a PC power supply that I wasn’t using and it seemed like it didn’t want to stay on. Not sure if it because I need to get another switch to rig it up or what s...

Re: Windows 7 Read Only GroovyMame Image

Ive always had trouble with Windows images when going Intel->AMD or vice versa.

With this Windows Embedded, could it run Steam games?

Cause Ive got a setup at the moment using Win7 but the read only/ability to power off without corruption is super attractive.

Re: Under appreciated arcade gems

For me it has to be Psycho-NICS Oscar. Great little Arcade platformer that has the Darius/Gradius powerup system. Used to play the crap out of this at my local fish and chip shop.

Re: Removing Sega Astro City Marquee/Speaker Grill

Thanks guys, yeah used the hairdryer trick and it worked a treat. Did use one of my girlfriends combs to remove the gunk when it was hot, worked really well :)

Removing Sega Astro City Marquee/Speaker Grill

Hey guys, I've hit a snag where I've removed the bolts from the Marquee but it doesn't want to budge. I don't want to force it because it seems a little brittle? https://i.imgur.com/b1OcESF.png I *think* I see double sided tape on either side near the speaker holes :S Any help is much appreciated!

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hello all, I'm Ploppers! I had a Sega Blast City years ago, but due to financial difficulties at the time was forced to sell it :'( I'm now financially secure and have just put an order down for a Sega Astro City to be delivered in March 2020! So I thought I'd better join, rather than just lurk. I p...
