Re: PSU 5v issue

Well, right at the end of the JAMMA connector is pretty much the same as right after the fuse above, around 4.6. Same at the PCB. I should mention the Supergun was working fine before, but at some point it blew up all 3 fuses, so I replace them (triple checked they are 250V 1A) and now I'm having th...

PSU 5v issue

Hello, I'm having issues with the PSU on my Pana Custom Supergun, specifically the 5v line. I'm measuring in two spots, at the PSU and after a fuse (250V 1A). The reason why I measure after the fuse it's because that's where the first voltage drop is (goes from 5v to 4.6). This voltage drop happens ...

Pana Custom video sync issues

Hi guys, I just bought a Pana Custom supergun and I'm noticing most games I'm trying have sync issues (they all work ok on my Blast City cab). The video input (NTSC) screen message appears over and over, like it's trying to sync constantly. I'm using s-video output (composite suffers the same issue)...

Re: Hyper Neo Geo 64 JAMMA connection question

Sorry for not posting the full info. I'm positive it is a Rev1 fighting board, it came with Samurai Shodown and has a volume pot. I was only concerned with any possible damage done by connecting that to a standard jamma harness the same way I've been warned about connecting an MVS neo geo to a jamma...

Hyper Neo Geo 64 JAMMA connection question

Hi all, I bought a couple of Hyper Neo Geo 64 boards, one is the JAMMA version the other is not. According to wikipedia, the non-JAMMA version just have the sound output coming out of a JST connector. So my question is, how safe is it to connect the non-JAMMA board into my JAMMA cabinet? (I do not o...

Help clean extreme dirt from neo geo mvs pcb

I'm looking for ideas on how to clean a dirty mvs pcb. I have heard of cleaning under the sink after discharging the capacitors but I do not know how to do such a thing. Willing to learn tho. I have not tested the board yet, I do not want to until it is somewhat clean in fear of shorting something. ...

Re: Games to play with your spouse?

My wife absolutely loves "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" and "Overcooked", none of them arcade games, but play great in a Viewlix or widescreen LCD cab.

Rabio LEPUS find (or rescue)

Hey all, I went to former arcade operator house today and while going through the heaps of damaged PCBs I found a working, original Rabio LEPUS PCB. It was on top of a bunch of broken (he thinks SOME are working) Namco cards (I tested a Soul Calibur form the top of the pile and sound was glitched). ...

I think I broke my speaker :(

Hey guys, I connected my Naomi 2 board audio outputs straight to this speakers and well, they are not turning on anymore. I forgot I was supposed to plug it into the Capcom IO board first and THEN to the speakers. My question is (as I'm trying to learn this stuff, I'm a new cabinet/arcade owner), wh...

Hey all, I'm vholf and I just got my first arcade cabinet, a Sega new astro city which I plan to restore (paint, new wires, monitor maintenance).
