I had a sync issue with a ms2933, my vga cable wasn't great (cheap ebay job) and it picked up so much noise the monitor couldn't choose the right resolution
I'd suggest trying some other cables

Re: Sega Naomi 1 Noob help?
To clarify an atx psu can't just plug into a naomi, you need to make an adapter As long as you connect the right pins from the atx psu to the naomi you shouldn't break anything, you can also get pre-made adapters I believe Also yeah the video and audio are on the naomi itself, VGA from a dsub15 and ...

Re: Sega Naomi 1 Noob help?
Well to use the naomi you need: Video out Audio out Controls in Power in Video is easy, the naomi outputs 31KHz or 15KHz from the VGA connector, just plug that into a display or upscaler Audio is also easy 2 stereo RCA jacks for analogue audio Controls will be more complicated, I'd get an arcade sti...

Re: Sega Naomi 1 Noob help?
If you want to get stuff as cheap as possible and have patience try Yahoo auctions
But yeah it's still gonna be expensive, especially the netdimm
As for IO/psu it depends on your cab/supergun setup

Re: Replacement monitors for Vewlix/Chewlix
Quick Disclaimer: I've never actually done this, just lurked a few threads So a 32" pc monitor should fit, make sure to check dimensions before you buy. Mounting will be the hard part because AFAIK the mounting systems are completely incompatible. For a more "robust" fit you're probably going to wan...

Re: Wait a minute. Vewlix isn't Taito originally?
I've done a fair bit of digging into the whole chewlix thing myself and from what I've found it's not the case. Simply put every Vewlix that isn't made by Taito themselves are bootlegs, all the chinese ones don't contain original parts nor are they made in the same place. All the claims that say the...

Re: Blast City 2nd Power Supply?
Kinda hard to say without pictures.
It could possibly be a step-down transformer?
AFAIK there's only one power supply from factory.

What's the best way to deal with surface rust?
Hi all,
I've got some light surface rust on the bottom edge of the coin door on my Blast City.
While it doesn't look bad and I don't plan to respray anytime soon, I'd rather it not get any worse.
cheers

Wow this is impressive, I thought that style of lock was really hard to pick. I'm glad you didn't have to drill it out.
