Re: CP mounting plate

I know. But with the mounting system that you use, there is no stick that would fit flush with the cp.? It isn't meant to. I copied my design straight from a genuine Sega HOT2005 panel. Without the 6mm offset from the panel the stick would be too long Right now the sticks shaft (control panel top t...

Re: does that part standard to every cp ?

Those mounting plates are different depending on what joystick(s) are intended to be mounted to it, and which manufacturer the control panel is from. The panels that I manufacture have mount plates for Sanwa JLF sticks that look like this: https://i.imgur.com/UVMl4Tf.jpg I have exactly this kind of...

Re: SNK Neo Geo Super 29 Candy

Hi all, I have a Neo Geo Super 29 Candy and I'm hoping to open up the control panel to adjust the monitor screen adjustments (V and H Hold). But, I don't have keys. (I hope the monitor adustments are at the control panel) Would any one have recommendations on how I could get it open ? Any one has a...

Re: Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

Hey! Just wanted to let everyone know that the swap was a success. So I took the tube of a ms2932 and used the MS8 chassis, yoke and convergency rings. The picture is super nice. There is some convergency issues in the corner, not so much that I'm willing to fiddle around with it for ages. In the ce...

Re: Sega Astro City: Marquee light produces interference

I'm not sure if these are new or not. Doubt that this would originally come with a Phillips bulb. So I guess both, starter and bulb are actually 220v.

You mean led? Because the lamp itself is new.

Sega Astro City: Marquee light produces interference

Hi there,

so I have interference on the screen from the marquee light. It's flickering in the upper right corner and is gone as soon as I deconnect the marquee light.

Is there any way to further shield the lamp from the crt?

Best!

Re: Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

Thanks! I think I'll try a chassis swap first. If that doesn't help it will be a swap of the AE as well.

Re: Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

Yeah. Would that make a yoke swap necessary or could it still work with just the tube swap?

Re: Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

So what would happen if I didn't do a yoke swap? Could still work? I mean, I could do a yoke swap. I did calibrate yokes in the past.

Re: Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

That Grundig model is useless for various reasons: 1) not the same front glass curvature as the Toshiba tube in the Astro. It's less curved and will not fit the bezel. 2) it's a 50Hz model and the yoke is for a 15KHz line out frequency (around 1.2mH). 3) You cannot swap the yoke as it's a Philips t...

Well, then!

There's a Grundig television that has the correct tube. I'm sure you can find the model number with Google.
I can only find threads about the 26 but not the 29. Getting Grundigs in Germany wouldn't be too hard.

Aero City has a MS8-26 as standard.

Good luck finding an A63 sized tube in Europe. I know I've tried!
It's an Astro City, I'm stupid. Sorry, I'm reading a lot and mixing things up. Sorry again.

It's an Astro City, MS-8-29-

Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

Hey there! So I will have a completely restored, super beautiful Astro City soon. Only problem is the tube which has a symetry problem. The chassis was checked by hour beloved pro in Germany called Winnie. He thinks that the tube must have gotten a heavy hit at some point. So, is there a replacement...
