Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

* Jaleco/Cave UO Poko - Original and Working, with original(?) sealed artwork+instructions. 87 EUR from https://videogames-price.com/ That's low, especially with artwork. (if you're selling, I'm buying. Been looking for Uo Poko for a while) FYI, I wasn't ignoring this. I had been hoping to sell it ...

You'll be selling yourself short using that as a guide.
:awe: Hence why I defer to you guys!
Still, not looking to make a killing. I bought most of these over a decade ago sniping on ebay.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

I've seen the Blasts that were imported last year being sold and resold for 950 GBP, but that I would hope that a nice one would fetch a bit more than that. Any idea how to price? I was thinking maybe 1300 EUR for the cab, plus another 150 EUR for an additional NOS 1P CP, call it 1600 EUR all-in? Pi...

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Hey chaps. Looking to shift my PCB collection on and struggling to find examples on ebay or many good lists. Preferably in EUR. Will be selling hopefully locally in Ireland. Edit: Added proposed prices. Intended to be on the low end. Still making these up on the spot.. Kept in ES bags * Psikyo Strik...

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

What's a complete Blast City worth nowadays in Europe? I'm living in Ireland, and have a Blast that I bought from rklok back in 2010 or so. I'm consodering shifting it and want to offer a fair/respectable price to the potential buyer. After cleaning it's in great shape, the tri-sync (ms2931) is stil...

Re: The 90's Arcade Racer (Kickstarter)

just had a thought about this ... turns out kickstarter is kind of dead ... but it's resurfaced with a publisher under a new name? People saying they bought it off original developer - pelican or whoever? https://www.nicalis.com/games/90ssupergp#description guess I'd be best just dusting off a 360 ...

Re: Lesser known fighting games others ought to play

Psikyo's Daraku Tenshi - because virtually the whole game is done with the tilemaps/background feature of the hardware, except for the hud which is done with the sprites - this is completely backwards and only doable because the hw do 7 layers and blending between them all. Also, the scenery is more...

I had a snipe for like £85 setup with an hour to go. Sadly didn't go under the radar.

Re: Fixing SEGA locks?

If it's the PCB door, push on it whilst turning, they can be a bit tight on the Blast.

Re: rotate blast monitor

I just rotated my Blast again today. I can do it solo by laying it down, but I don't relish doing it. I used to find the NAC much easier for two reasons: * You could stand over it more easily, the Blast's marquee gets in the way - I could have removed the front/back panel of the marquee and the tube...

Re: Nanao-MS2933 won't sync to 31kHz?

Joined together the relevant pins on the bottom of the J-PAC PCB on the VGA header and that works too as you'd expect.

Re: Nanao-MS2933 won't sync to 31kHz?

A happy ending.

So in the end, connecting h/vsync together (i.e. negative composite sync), and removing all the jumpers from the I-PAC did it!
15kHz/31kHz hot switching via JAMMA.

Now I just need to find a hackable cable, since bridging the pins with solder isn't exactly robust :)

Just look at the keyhole. They're all different.

Re: Drilling locks or finding keys (Blast, New Astro and New Net city)

If it's locks you want, see http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?p=428140. I must confess I'm confused about the 5575 locks/keys - I was under the impression they were keyed (and based on the 4^9=256k patterns should be fairly secure), but apparently you can just buy keys that open any of them...

Re: Nanao-MS2933 won't sync to 31kHz?

Alright, so last post on this - it's as much about Video Cards, Drivers as it is about Monitors + Chassis' at this point. I had a chance to try a few more things. The AVGA actually does display 640x480@31kHz if I let it boot all the way into Windows when reconfigured with the 'trisync.exe' utility t...

Re: Nanao-MS2933 won't sync to 31kHz?

No, don't think I have a JVS I/O. Looks like I would need one. Doh. I tried one more thing: * On-board Ge-force -> J-PAC set at 31kHz. This works. The bios displays, as does the Windows boot sequence. Once it gets into Windows proper it's scrambled. I'm guessing this is the work of the AVGA drivers ...
