Re: Exa Kit Box Protectors (now shipping) Sold Out!

So, are these actually sold out now? Or is this more of a 'A&B sold out'? :awe:

i reckon my grandma can fix this if she was alive.
Man, so even your grandma had better repair skills than me? I guess I shouldn't be shocked (although it's still pretty depressing) :lolno:

World version, with correct seal. Currently has Alpha Renewal ROMs installed - but it also comes with original ROM set. Will also include a Teknis/Corstat box (and a separate box for the ROMs). PCB has two repairs (a track repair on the motherboard, and a custom that has been resoldered on the ROM ...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Well, I did write some, not all. If yours gives an accurate +5V reading without anything connected, it's going to be fine. If it doesn't, you could just solder a fat resistor between GND and +5V on the IO. Thanks for clarifying :) Sounds like one of my superguns should definitely be fine without ad...

Re: exA-Arcadia

If you're thinking of running it on anything else (like a supergun), take note that it doesn't have a cement resistor on the power lines. The power draw on that thing must be negligible. Some PSUs expect a minimum load and that board alone probably won't be enough. Bummer. Well, there goes that pla...

A cheese grater and some 50-grit sandpaper - and that Guwange will be as good as new. Probably :shifty:

Re: Import duty / Consoles US to UK

Just as an update - Fedex finally sent me a breakdown of the charge today in the post. Weirdly, the total had been adjusted to £87.88 (even though I hadn't, as of yet, contested the original charge). So, I went ahead and paid - as this this was around what I was expecting when I first placed the ord...

Re: Import duty / Consoles US to UK

Mine has arrived but I didn't pay the fee? I'm guessing the invoice is in the post. I've decided to sell it as a result of the fee. Is anyone interested before I put it on ebay? I'm in the same boat - received mine yesterday, and am still waiting for the full Customs breakdown (yeah, they always se...

Re: Aka & Blue Type R

I'm still waiting on my A&B to even be shipped (I ordered it last month with a motherboard). Was meaning to drop exA a message to check how much longer it might be...but I'll definitely check whether I'll be receiving the 1.2 version too (fingers crossed). Don't worry, it will come in Ver. 1.2.0. A...

Re: Import duty / Consoles US to UK

Oh wow. How poor was the timing on this. It's pretty unbelievable. If it had actually arrived on time (or at least before October) - this extra tariff wouldn't have kicked in. If it had been delayed a bit more (at least until January) the tariff would, presumably, no longer be applicable due to bre...

That's a real 'who shot Mr Burns' question - basically everyone (including most of his own party) is a possible suspect ;)

Re: Import duty / Consoles US to UK

I've had exactly the same invoice from Fedex for my NT Mini  Really wish I hadn't bothered ordering it now. Nearly a year of waiting; cartridge slot looks about as 'perfected' as the UK's Covid response; and now a £200+ Customs charge (on top of a large-ish bank charge, and Analogue's already r...

I'm sure I won't be able to resist this (assuming it works with the DAC) :shifty: Although given when I pre-ordered my NT Mini, I'm guessing this will probably be more of a 2022/2023 release :lolno:
