Re: exA-Arcadia

Gimmick is a really great game. Easily one of the top 3 best titles on the NES.

I definitely don't like synthwave aesthetics.
If this is "synthwave aesthetics", the originals definitely had synthwave aesthetics.

Damn, I'm sorry. The interface of this forum is confusing the hell out of me. That was supposed to be a PM, and this is the third time this happens -_-

Re: exA-Arcadia

Cool finally seeing a decent Aka to Blue video. This game looks a lot better than I'd expected, and I'm glad to hear it's possible to turn off all that annoying chatter, too. Hoping to see a good port some time eventually, in spite of exA's devious contracts. :) Weren't people complaining about the ...

Re: Streets of Rage 4

Despite being extremely sceptical of this game right from the get-go (having DotEmu's name on anything is bound to do that), I honestly thinks this looks very good... I don't get the hate on the art style, I think it looks great, and better than most other recent attempts at similar styles. It's rea...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Yes, there is a 16:9 and a 4:3 setting. I got my highest score so far playing it in the 4:3 mode. Is there any chance we could see the game running on a CRT in 4:3 mode? I think this is what people really want to see. :) Already posted on the previous page. ?? All I see is pictures of artwork shown...

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

After AGDQ a lot of people just found out they really want Futari.
When a similar thing happened for TGM, the boards spiked to like 200% over the next year.

Nice pictures of artwork. Does the game itself also play in 3:4?

Re: Selling genuine TAITO and SEGA ashtrays.

Hello. How much for one of your remaining TAITOs shipped to Denmark (preferable the cheapest available :)) Update: The SEGA ashtrays, the red TAITO bucket and the black and blue TAIROS are now sold, still have some awesome red TAITOS for sale at the moment! Hiya, I’m selling SEGA ashtrays as well as...

Alright, connecting video ground to ground didn't change anything at all.

Re: Weird video issue on JAMMA PCB (update: suicided game?)

Already using a jamma passthrough for a bunch of these purposes (such as measuring voltage, capture breakout and a negatron for -5V)

If just connecting video ground to common fixes the problem, that's cool. But couldn't the issue be caused by the cab sharing those two in the first place?

Is video ground connected?
Good suggestion that I somehow didn't think of. I recall my TGM2 board requires video ground, but it might be connected to the common ground rather than video ground. I'll measure and check back later today.

Where is video ground supposed to go on a NAC chassis?

Re: Weird video (hsync?) issue on JAMMA PCB

Wow, for some reason my Google skills missed this post from another forum: http://www.ukvac.com/forum/alligator-hunt-sync-issue_topic365319.html It seems that it's a suicide battery issue, and can be fixed by switching out two ROMs on the board. The thread is inconclusive about wether this was actua...

Weird video issue on JAMMA PCB (update: suicided game?)

I recently bought this game on eBay - I still have the time to file for a refund, but if possible I'd prefer to just solve the issue. So I'm hoping someone here has seen something similar and have a suggestion. The game in question is the relatively obscure Alligator Hunt, and the issue is best demo...
