Re: Sentimental Value

Probably my NAC, which I hunted down in 2003 (1st NAC in the UK?) and pre-killer cab days. I placed an ad on an arcade operators classified ad online and a company in the south of France emailed me saying he had x2 in stock for 490Euros and 250Euros shipping to Wales. I had a shipping date and waite...

Re: How do you store your bare pcb?

I only own 1 PCB now but this is how I used to store them. In an anti-static bag in a box. They're more resilient than you think.

Re: NeoSD - I'm loving it

What happend to this thread? I thought it was pretty interesting. The 161-in-1 is missing alot of games so this would make sense if you want EVERY neo game. Also I wouldn't this call this an MVS emulator, that implies it's the same as Mame etc, which it clearly isn't. Flash carts are not emulation, ...

Re: Framemeister mini

I think the lag is dictated by your TV more than the scaler, some are better than others obviously. For example my friends old Panasonic LED had a crazy amount of lagg even in Game-Mode, so much so it was hard to do an anti-air on a fighting game.. Personally I can't make the switch to playing 240P ...

Re: WTF happened to Sega Saturn collecting

I have a load of original MD games but I end up just using the Everdrive just for pure convenience. I'm even thinking of selling them all off and just using the Everdrive exclusively. If you just want to play the game then there is no difference. *I do love a shelf full of Japanese MD and PCE games,...

Re: WTF happened to Sega Saturn collecting

Hah I know what you mean, it's crazy! I can't believe how much Pal Snes games go for these days, back in the early 90's Pal games were the least desirable versions to have! I kinda regret getting rid of all my original games when I sold them off in the early 2000's but thinking logically flash carts...

Re: NAC bulb?

Thanks a lot for your help guys! I picked one up earlier from the ref number mann0mann kindly gave me and I put it in when I got home and it's working fine.

Aerocitymayor: Thanks for the offer of a 100v starter, luckily it was fine so won't be needed. Massive thanks.

NAC bulb?

Sorry if this has been posted already, but what type bulb replacement would I need for a NAC? My existing one fell out inside the cab and smashed into 986pieces when I jolted it as I was lifting it over the patiodoor threshold to have a new carpet fitted :/

Cheers, Mark.

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

Yeah 2gb should be the way to go in these machines, but DDR sticks are really hard to find nowadays, will keep looking for some anyways So for fightcade you just Play fullscreen and its looks perfect, like with Groovymame? Any especial settings? I havent played online since the days of 2DFighter an...

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

Okay Ive finally fount a copy. Which install would be the best for GroovyMame? What's the lowest I could go, could I use Bare'? Also if I didn't install IE/OE/WMP, could I still install Chrome? http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/p604/exmosquito/EEF50B04-D848-4C7D-BB48-A9D2966360A7_zpsrqyvytbe.jpg

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

Well after 4 years of GroovyMame and a dodgy copy of XP I'm gonna have to reinstall everything from scratch, it takes me about 8mins from power-on until I'm in a game, not acceptable. I was thinking about installing TinyXP. I only have a 2.1ghz Core2Duo so I don't want to use anything too demanding ...

Re: Street Fighter V

I dropped on a PS4 this week mainly for SFV. Iv only had about 30 vs fights so far but I like it. It's no ST but I like the more simplified approach over the SF4 fadc mechanic and short/jab into ultra nonsense. If anyone want a few games my psn username is "Ex_Mosquito"

Re: First Candy Cab in Europe?

I got my NAC in June 2003, imported from France. Obviously it wasn't the first NAC in Europe but I'm pretty sure it was the first NAC in the UK, and pre–killercabs days (the Troc didn't get the vs cabs until 2004) Earliest Japanese sit-down cabs that I'm aware of in the UK were the Pony cabs in the ...

Hey mark why dont you just get a new PC case and a SSD drive and clone it so you can keep your current GM set up? that way you can keep your set up make it probably 50 times faster and tidy it up with the new case and stick it inside your cab what specs are yo...

Cools: Your PC boots faster than a PCB? 5seconds?

spmbx: Your PC boots up and is ready to play before the monitor warms up? I find that hard to believe.

Re: New Multiboard RaspberryJAMMA

Hmm this does look pretty nice but like pubjoe said, if it has any screen tearing or lag that would be a dealbreaker for me. How is it compared to a Groovymame setup?

It's a pain in the **** having a bulky desktop PC and waiting for it to boot whenever I want a quick blast on something.
