Re: Where can I buy replacement Servostick Sanwa microswitches?

Are you sure it's the switch? If so, it's probably just in need of a clean on the internal contacts. The two halves of the switch separate along the seam, which will allow you to clean the inside. A small flat blade will allow you to {carefully] prise it open. ah thanks I thought the switches were ...

Where can I buy replacement Servostick Sanwa microswitches?

Hiya! it appears the UP microswitch on one of my Servosticks is not working good anymore... is there a place to get a correct (and genuine) replacement? Or maybe someone can recommend better replacements all around that are not hard to push? This is the type of microswitch used: https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Thinking of selling my Bubble Bobble 2 EUR cart, any idea for a fair forum price for both me and the buyer?
I broke the seal for cleaning + checking , it is all original :awe:

Amazing game, loved it - finished it some days ago. Also enjoyed the lore.
Platforming is ok if you invest in the rune that helps with it.

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here.

If it's bootleg then it's a good one, the pcb style, traces etc remind me of my system2 boards, just the color is different... It would not surprise me if this was an original maybe someone else can shed some more light

Just out of Interest, I have a ChopLifter System 2 board, Is it just a case of downloading the decrypted ROMs and burning to get it converted?
yes you need roms but you will also need color prom replacements and most likely 1 or 2 gal replacements

Does anyone have a recent build of Groovymame (i.e 0.213, 0.214) with the No Nag diff applied?

Re: Mame Laserdisc files

Maybe the single huge 7z archive was split to smaller files to facilitate upload? If you use a tool like HJSPLIT and chose the join function it will combine all of them back to a single 7z file so you can extract it properly
Worth a shot!

there is also the possibility the tube is too worked out, it's not that uncommon that an old pvm/bvm has thousands and thousands of hours of working time...

Re: PVM 14N6E With Bad Deflection

I had vertical linearity issues with my PVM - I replaced all caps on main chassis from 100uf and upwards (it was just WAY TOO MANY to replace everything  ) and this fixes my issue. The main blame was the big uf caps, from 1000uf and upwards. I did not touch the psu board in mine... The focus po...

Re: What could cause this h.linearity issue?!

Just an update to bring closure to the issue - with the help of online friends the issue was found : it is capacitor C521 that is a S Correction one in 15k mode. Original is a 470nf/200v one - replacing it with a 2.2uF capacitor the monitor's 15k h.linearity improves and now it's tolerable. Not perf...

What could cause this h.linearity issue?!

Hiya! I have a 14" 15/31k dualsync monitor, when pin15 on vga connector is high then the monitor switches to 15k mode. But I have this annoying linearity issue - right side is compressed: http://i.imgur.com/M0WfG46.png in VGA mode it's OK - you can't expand it to full screen , this is a 640x480 max ...

Re: J-pac for fightcade.

hehe looking good!
but try to get a better PSU IMHO , a 420~550W is more than enough - never cheap out on the psu. I used a Seasonic 420W one.
and ofcourse you can mount all like arcade boards - or use a random old pc case (maybe just the frame?) to mount all and put it in the cab

Re: J-pac for fightcade.

OK , ATI HD6000 is the series - so it means something like HD6450, HD6670, HD6970 and models in between all are good. (technically HD5000+ works but 6000 series is just more trouble-free) You need to keep in mind 2 things: - you need a VGA port or a DVI-I connector that can be turned to analog vga w...

Re: J-pac for fightcade.

You don't necessarily need an arcade-vga nowdays, you can do more with CRTEmuDriver and some ATI HD6000+ vga . Then you pair it with GroovyMAME and you get a really really awesome setup. I was about to link you the guide on how to install crtemudriver but the pages are offline atm, instead here is t...

I know there are various System 2 versions, I have 171-5303-01 (original chopl...
