Re: Cyberlead Namco JAMMA -> JVS Board repair / Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting is the same as everything else. Start with the basics. I'm sure you've said you have you have a tekken board that uses JVS for the controls. Does that work? If so, at least you know your JVS IO is working. Thanks for the reply! Yes, the tekken board works fine with the JVS controls ...

Cyberlead Namco JAMMA -> JVS Board repair / Troubleshooting

Hello everyone. I own a pair of Cyberlead cabs, which i got a good deal on overall considering their condition, but neither had a JAMMA -> JVS board when i started. I borrowed a river service board from a friend for a while and that let me play the non-jamma, non-vert games, but he eventually took t...

Bummer.

Please check your pms. I've been sending them to you for at least a week to take care of this.

Would REALLY appreciate a response on any of them.

Re: It's for free!

A Cyber Lead shell, already dismantled, no wiring or locks. The plastics are all in acceptable condition, no breaks etc. Sides are complete and in one piece. Collection only, though (from Central Scotland). If I get no interest by Saturday it's going to the tip. I'm not posting anything to anywhere...

Re: Cyber Lead, River Service JAMMA2JVS, and Street Fighter 2 (and Gals Panic 2/JAMMA in general)

Unfortunately I stopped offering a wiring service a while ago. I can probably help out with some part numbers etc though if that helps. ugh, that's too bad. I'm fairly certain i don't have the patience to make my own, so the best likely help at this point is directing me to either a ready-made part...

Re: Cyber Lead, River Service JAMMA2JVS, and Street Fighter 2 (and Gals Panic 2/JAMMA in general)

SF2 requires a kick harness connected to the C board. At the very least you will need an adapter or the kick harness connected directly to your kick buttons. *nods* yep, that was what i had figured. only problem now is to see if such an adapter exists that will work with my existing I/O and SF2WW. ...

Re: Cyber Lead, River Service JAMMA2JVS, and Street Fighter 2 (and Gals Panic 2/JAMMA in general)

Flash forward 2 weeks. Managed to get a hold of a Namco JV Conv PCB. so, immediately, with just the usb style connection plugged in, i have controls. Sticks on both sides plus all punches work, as does both starts. Kicks? yeah, that's another story entirely. When plugged in to the JV Conv board, sud...

i tried plugging the cable in directly, bypassing the back board. no joy. i truly think it is the river service board that has the problem.

Re: Cyber Lead, River Service JAMMA2JVS, and Street Fighter 2 (and Gals Panic 2/JAMMA in general)

Not at all I'm afraid - JVS does not supply power on any pins like USB. You have a sense line which is pulled high by a pull-up resistor (often internal to the controller chip) until the slaves are initialized - then it is dropped to 0, this merely a signal and not intended to drive anything the wa...

Re: Cyber Lead, River Service JAMMA2JVS, and Street Fighter 2 (and Gals Panic 2/JAMMA in general)

Well, i did a different test. I hooked up a micro usb cable to the cable slot of my Tekken 3 board and hooked that up to a portable mouse. When the cab turned on, i got lights on my mouse. i tried the same thing with the riverservice card and didn't get anything. That is not smart, jvs IS NOT usb -...

Re: Cyber Lead, River Service JAMMA2JVS, and Street Fighter 2 (and Gals Panic 2/JAMMA in general)

I did a little JVS lab work a few weeks back, and had the riverservice adapter on the bench. From what I can gather, it does not support multiple IO boards. I'm not 100% sure how JVS works on the cyberleads, but it's more complex than most cabs. What you can try is to make sure the IO board has a U...

okay, will try that, but does it make a difference that the controls work as is for other games and that it happens for both cabs?
