Re: adding an audio line out on a PCB?

Ive done one to my MV1B neogeo board. i made a little circuit on strip board, soldered wires onto a few points on the PCB, and then drilled 2x holes in the plastic case to fit a pair of phono plugs. It sounds loads better going through the stereo amp in my NAC, than using the pcb onboard amp

Do all the button holes have the notch at the top?
Its only the later panels (NUC/NC/NNC) that have the notches at the top of the holes

Re: WTB: Astro/New Astro 2L8B

Was there ever a genuine 2L8B astro city panel? I thought they was all either modified 2L6B, or repro?

I thought it was the naomi era where they started with genuine 2L8B panels. Obviously a Naomi panel fits on an astro, but it's just the overlay you would need to sort

Re: Can't remove nuts from new astro city monitor.

Are they badly corroded/rusted?

Ive worked on lots of sega machines, and never had an issue removing any of the monitors. Ive always been able to undo them with a ratchet and socket

Your kick harness will probably be wired for a Naomi cabinet, so just swap the pins on the kick harness

What sort of condition is the overlay? As usually when they are rusting like that underneath the rust creeps round and gets under the overlay making it start to peel off

Re: Game Boys (Bivert-curious welcome)

I've got a GBA with one of the new IPS screens. It looks great. I've never seen an AGS101 screen in the flesh to compare. I've only got my GBAsp AGS001 to compare which now looks a bit pants

How do usually proceed people who own an 1P cab?
If you've got a 2nd cabinet with 2p panel then put it in there to change the settings. Or if you've only got a 1p cabinet you will have to wire in a 2p button

Star Trigon Control Panel?

Does anyone know if there was an official control panel for star Trigon? I've got all the official artwork, but since you only need 1 button to play the game (plus the start button) it always seems a bit crap playing it on a fully fitted out control panel with joysticks and buttons. I've got some go...

Did you melt in some new solder? As this helps dilute the older solder

Re: Wonderboy problem

On some bootlegs like that they don't share a connection between the main ground, and video ground. This isn't a problem if the wiring in your cabinet joins those ground together. Looks like you are running it in a candy cabinet? In my new astro city I had sync problem with a SF2 bootleg not syncing...

Re: demon front mvs?????

Used to have a PGM just for that game. In the end, it turned out to be a gorgeous borefest of a game. The enemy AI is random at best. Gfx are marvelous, the ost is pretty much boring, narator is boring and the non-grenade'ish C button makes it pale. I'd rather play Cyber Lip over this one. :awe: Sa...

Re: New PC, any good games to play?

What kind of games to you like?

I like all genres of game, so there is a bit of a mix here, but Id recommend:

Shadow of the Tomb raider
Gears 5
Control
Guacamelee 2 (not graphically demanding but a great metroid/castevania style game)
The Witcher 3
