Really interested in 2 AWSD's, and a NAC....let me get a couple things sold, and I'll bite the bullet.

Re: Astro CRT blurry startup

Grantspain....could that tube issue be something that a B&K might solve...like a short somewhere causing the brightness or focus not to adjust properly, or is it just gonna be a case of use the tube till it finishes dying, and move to the next one?

Re: Astro CRT blurry startup

Have a similar, but more complex issue, along the same lines. ms9 29su, always been super sharp, and clean. booted up one day, and full blown bright raster lines, and washed out screen, and terribly out of focus. Thought it might be a flyback going out, so I just swapped with another working chassis...

Re: Xbox 360 in an Astro City?

No , cause the video converter you are showing is for CGA >>>>TO >>>>VGA. You would need one that did the reverse. I went the Lemony Vengeance route (Youtube/Facebook/Forums), and got his 360 to jamma adapter. Takes Scart from xbox (480i), audio from xbox, and controllers, and converts to full jamma...

Re: Astro City Monitor Issue

Make sure your adjustment board (if your chassis has one) connections at board and chassis are good, and make sure your yoke connection is good. Past that, it almost looks like vert collapse, but then it goes blank, like no power. If you have any solder joints that were cracked on the chassis, when ...

Re: VOTE NOW. Post count for marketplace access?

Im gonna say that if its not broke, don't fix it. That being said, I keep up with AO, Neo, KLOV, and ArcProj, at least every couple days, if not every day. I do float in the markets mostly, but do my best to share info, or chime in on things where I have the time, and the knowledge, outside of them....

Been off and on in industry for many years, and been through a hundred games personally.....NEVER seen a 16:9 CRT arcade of any kind in the states.
Not saying it didn't happen somewhere, cause I know I ain't seen everything....but I can't think of anything even close over here.

Re: Little Restauration for OK Baby Cab

Having to make adapters as well, but are moving ours down to Ms8-26su's, as the bezels that were in ours, will fit them perfectly. Picked up two locally in Texas for 250...which was awesome. They were beat and filthy, but will turn out fine. Here's another one my buddy has. I designed the art, he di...

Re: 29E31S in F355 Challenge 2 MultiMonitor Dim/Dark Picture

I may be wrong, but the A68KJU Toshiba tubes were for Nanao Ms9-29su's....and are a different tube than what was coming on the 2931's you said were in the cab. I don't have the yoke impedance and resistance in front of me for either one, but I'd be they are different enough, that you cant just toss ...

Re: Point Blank - Working perfectly one day, dead the next

Just wanted to chime in here for a sec. I know its a long way to ship, but if you actually wind up needing repairs on this, my shop sends everything Namco related out to Speedy's One stop. They are in the states, and have an excellent track record for us. I hope it's something you can solve yourself...

Re: AWSD Xbox 360 Sound add

I had to deal with same issue. For me, I got a pair of USB powered speakers, that took a 1/8" headphone jack, hooked up the rca's with a female rca to 1/8"headphone adapter, and set the speakers on top of the AWSD. That way I didnt have to destroy my original harness....but eventually, I would like ...

Re: Tubular Lock Picks

No. I have talked to a few folks in the industry though, and they said if they have tube locks they don't have keys for...its titanium bit drill time....period. You can fix in 5 minutes, what the tube locks takes an amateur a half hour or more to accomplish. Now...having never used them, none of tha...

Hi everyone..i am a new user here. I have a Naomi2 that had the same issue...except I had more traces damaged. Chanelmanic over at the KLOV forums had to use some super fine filament wire and fix 4 or 5 traces, but now it works great. No supercap replacement in it.If it boots, awesome. There maybe ...

Re: Naomi 2 super capacitor leak

Doesnt need to. Supercap is not needed for naomi to run and function correctly. As long as nothing continues to eat at that resistor, the board will be fine, once the baking soda thing is done.

I will keep that in mind for my future use too...makes sense...volcano science fair project and all....:D

Re: Replacement Tube for a NAC for a MS9 Chassis?

Yeah. A universal adapter is a big opportunity for mistakes. If you've been in the hobby long enough, you will have killed a monitor at some point. It just happens...I necked an atomiswave tube before I ever got my first game on it. The best way I can tell you to go looking for tubes, is locally. St...
