Re: Naomi dimm upgrade GDs
out of my head 3.17 for netboot 4.01 for CF 4.02 non official that takes netboot files on CF) If your netdimm is netbootable then you can upgrade the dimm via ethernet. Don't think any Naomi games need more than 3.17 to play just it's just how you load the games. Chihiro and Triforce may need higher...

Re: atomiswave games on naomi
hod3 works fine on my type3 1gb
If you use an naomi shooting cab with just one trigger button on the guns just move digital pin 29 to 31 and 30 to 32 on the JVS to get off screen reload

Re: Sega 605-0028 looms
They relay button 4 and 5 from the kick to jamma, since most panels miss those wires.
I have a cpl of them which Im pretty sure is from same source as yours
Edit: they also keep button 6 on the kick so it's compatible with the sega jvs/jamma IO

Re: Sanwa joystick for Blast City
Original blast panels take JLFs without a mountingplate, aftermarket panels made by Seimitsu will only take Seimitsus bent plates
1P panels for blast where never made by sega, they all are "licenced by sega" or pure repros so they can be whatever.

I have made some in the past, both matte and glossy, don't think any of them found their way outside our swedish borders though. http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee448/jodre/Arcade/IMG_1312_zpsbcxgljvh.jpg http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee448/jodre/Arcade/IMG_1311_zpsffpcyqtw.jpg Not ordinar...

Re: How are you Storing & Protecting your PCBs?
Im trying to keep the same size for as many games as possible but since i make em myself and is really short on space there are plenty of sizes, I I had the room to display them in some sort of way I would prolly allow more dead space in the boxes and make some nicer labels or print the boxes before...

Re: Taito type x2
Never tried a direct copy since I use an USBcradle so I saved the whole MBR to disk, I have restored the first 446 from that to anything from a 32GB SSD to 1TB HDD without any problem.
Using OSX but that shouldn't realt matter

Re: Taito type x2
You need a cloning program that is able to write the first 446bytes with disc ID and the whole shabang, a program to make a ghost image will probably not do that but just clone 447 to 512 with partion information. if you run linux/osX and know what you are doing dd is your friend, think winhex shoul...

Re: Taito type x2
X2 has protections in the MBR (not completly true since the last 2 bytes or so that defines partions is not needed) That means, if disc miss that check you get black screen, if it passes you got problems with the OS, the OS does not need cloning, it is enough with copy, partions does not matter, if ...

Re: Taito type x2
if you get BSOD you have passed the securitycheck and the disc should be fine to use on the system, your problem should be in hardware or software issue, and if the gamle boots fine on the source disc there is no need to make it harder than a drag & drop copy, just make sure hidden files also goes w...

Re: Taito type x2
If your cloned disc does not work but passes black screen and goes to BSOD, just copy the source disc with drag and drop, overwriting the cloned files.
Also make sure you have a X2 that is compatible (not a satelite or 212 or such)
