Re: Monitor discharge tool.

You probably want to keep it simple: Get a good insulated flat head screwdriver (you probably have this at home) and two aligator clips (good thick ones). Simply solder a heavy gauge wire connecting both clips, than put one on the screwdriver and the other on the metal plate connected to the chassis...

And the game is awesome, imho.
Yes it is mate, highly underrated game due to the fact that it wasn't developed by CAVE.

It's not on par with CAVE's finest, but a fun and accessible game for sure. Also, the Bomb/Energy methods offer a different aproach to the game which is awesome.

Re: DDP Bee Storm broken

Looks like motherboard problems, a long time ago i had a menu showing similar errors and was motherboard related. The first picture you show could be "dirty contacts" as other members suggested. Neo Geo MVS sometimes reproduce similar glitches and you just need to clean the contacts (Cart and MOBO) ...

Re: New Astro PSU Voltage Problems

You might have a bad potentiometer... If the problems continues, you might want to unsolder it and measure it out of the circuit

Re: Sengoku Ace PCB not working...

You should start by feeding 5V to the PCB, that's the most obvious test to do. Start from there.

Capcom published it in Japan?

Just guessing, no real knowledge on the matter.
That is correct:

Re: Naomi Uni troubleshooting

Check if the CPU fans are both working (you have to take the case off). If this fan fails, the MOBO stops working and sometimes is just a faulty fan.

Re: Naomi Uni troubleshooting

Just plug both the Naomi motherboards to a PC monitor via VGA (getting power from the cabinet) to see if they are working or not. At least you can rule out mobo problems. You should also check (very important) all the voltages on the cabinet harness, power supply might be damaged too.

Re: NAOMI: to chop or not?

Mine are UK also. Both had the standard tubes with a Rodotron 666 chassis. I really love the general picture of those chassis with thick scanlines in 15khz mode, and the picture is very decent in 31khz. You should bare in mind that these chassis were (when you could easily find them new) very cheap,...

Re: NAOMI: to chop or not?

Chopped Naomi next to a New Astro City? Say no more: These look amazing. SOLD. Btw, what JVS>Jamma solution are you using to play those boards on the NAOMIs? Both Naomis have a dedicated Jamma loom and the standard JVS loom with a tri-sync monitor. I think this way it's easier and cheaper for sure.

Re: NAOMI: to chop or not?

If it weren't for the plastics yellowing and the screw caps going brittle I'd have a Naomi upright at home rather than my Egret 3... My first Naomi is around 5 years old (since restoration) and is still crispy white. The screw caps (that are missing in that picture) i removed for painting because i...

Re: Two new naomi netboot options

I've been using the "single" version without a trouble, but I simply cannot make the "web" version work. I've tried a Pi2 and a Pi3 with the same result: I get no access point named "Naomi" and the light on the raspberry doesn't blink, it's always red, so I'm sure nothing is going on. On the the cab...
