Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

I've a couple of Naomis that I may need to move on due to an imminent office relocation in the next few months. Can anyone give me a guideline idea of what I should be asking for them ? I've had them a few years, and have kind of lost track of pricing... The first cab is a stand-up (I also have a se...

Re: Turning the Garage into an Arcade (passiv dehumidifier tips ?)

Sure - it was only to be expected. I ran a heater after a day or two - to evaporate any lingering moisture (my cabs weren't in the shed at the time) and then vented the moist air via the main doors. Running the heater after that simply keeps everything dry and not too cold. Moisture has never raised...

Re: Turning the Garage into an Arcade (passiv dehumidifier tips ?)

My shed has better than house insulation - no real ventilation other than the doors at the front. I had a lot of moisture as the plaster and paint dried out - but have run a small fan heater only to keep the temperature at a regulated minimum. Since the moisture dried out from the initial decorating...

Re: Freeware Taito TypeX2 Multigame

Is it likely that an image program - such as Macrium or Ghost et all, could feasibly write an image of this in future?

Re: The IGS PGM thread

And then I noticed this : 'It is the first game to run on the new single board PGM hardware. However the PCB is mounted inside a blue metal box with a fan.' LOL I am a doofus. :awe: Whilst I'm here - @Paulie - I've still got a cart you lent to test my motherboard - I wanna send it back to you. Can y...

Re: The IGS PGM thread

OOh. My bad.

I thought it ran on a normal cave PCB ?

I was reading about it here :

http://www.world-of-arcades.net/Cave/Dd ... iOuJou.htm

So it's a genuine PGM release ?

Re: The IGS PGM thread

Just got my 'botch' PGM cart of DDP DOJ - was nervous - especially as there are actual PCB's still around - one for sale here - which I would have rather had, obviously, but couldn't afford.. The game runs flawlessly on the PGM system! Mental. Am sort of very relieved, as I couldn't really find out ...

Re: Playing a x360 on a NNC cab

I have a loom for a Naomi (or I guess NNC) which has 2 PS360+'s and all the necessary cabling.

I used to use it for SSFIV from my 360 but I have a Taito X2 now.

I'll pop a pic up - its very cool indeed. (And it's for sale, should someone need it)

Re: Sega Naomi Universal 220-240VAC replacement ballast..

Will do - I'll leave it to sparkie mate, but that sounds like a plan. I have a couple of step downs, but could easily buy another for this cab.

Re: Sega Naomi Universal 220-240VAC replacement ballast..

Should my monitor experience the same interference from the official 240v SEGA stepdown once I fit the chopped legs is there anything I can do to minimise it or filter it out? Is it a simple proximity thing to the tube ? I guess I could move the stepdown out of the base into a safe external housing ?

Re: Sega Naomi Universal 220-240VAC replacement ballast..

That might be a solution - insides and outer covers ? - decent nick ? Hmuch? ;) It's just the inside legs unfortunately but they are the hardest part to cut they are in very good condition but postage would be quite high on them, I actually got them from this forum a while back, let me check what i...

Those LED tubes are superb - looks great.
