Re: Voltmeter recommendation

That is a Negatron adapter, its aimed for jamma cabinets that don't have a negative 5 volt output rail on their PSU's, not your case if you have a NAC.

Nanao Ms8-26SU raster lines but no video

I have this chassis with a weird problem, I can adjust colors, brightness etc. but only show raster lines?? I have reflowed the RGB connector pins, all of the daughter boards, the CRt pins look fine, no cold solder joints etc, checked for burnt resistor and/or diodes, what else could be causing this...

Re: Nanao MS-8 29 and MS-9 with different issues

Foe the MS8 blurryness at startup clean the inside of the neckboard crt socket, or even better, replace it, the focus pin inside tends to rust so the monitor takes more time to gain his full sharpness.

What do you think about this combo: MS9 chassis + Samsung tube A68KVL74X02

Inductance:
Vertical coil: 18,1 mH
Hor. coil: 0,33 mH

resistance:
Hor.coil 0,8 ohm
vert. 7,6 ohm

Re: B+ on a Nanao MS8-29

Ok, but my question is: where can I test this 94v?, I do know that the negative probe of the multimeter should go to a negative leg from a capacitor, can't remember which one, where does the positive goes to get the correct reading?

I have only seen modded MS8-29's, but 25's should work aswell since it's practically the same chassis.

Re: Recommended Starter Cabinet for CPS2, 3, Naomi

mRCaESaR wrote: June 10th, 2021, 1:28 am Yes, you can run Naomi in 15khz, but most games don't look that great in 15khz vs it's native 31khz.

You can easily mod a MS9/ MS8 to accept 31khz 480p resolutions, i.e. Naomi, Atomiswave, Namco s246 etc....just saying.
