Toshiba a68kkn96x Tube + MS9-29SU?

Asking this for someone in IRC. Replacing an Egret 29's MS8-29FTB with a MS9-29SU...is that possible?

Hi guys, I had to reply to CoolMod's post as I'm a new user and can't start any posts?

Anyways, I have a Egret 29 with a MS8-29FTB. Long story short, the chassis is bad, but the tube is OK. The tube is a Toshiba a68kkn96x.

I just got a MS9-29SU with working tube which is a Hitatchi. I can't make out all the lettering, but what I can read is that it's a a68K?A30X.

With that being said, does anyone know if the MS9-SU chassis can be used with the Toshiba? Life would be much easier if so...
