You can. I did the first two in a different order to my friend.

I'm still aghast at the depth and sheer scale of BOTW. How long was this in development?

Over 4 years, and delayed until it was done rather than deadline rushed. Credits have 300 names.

I'm still enjoying just exploring the world. I've somehow managed to accumulate >45 hours of in game time but only have half the map uncovered, and it's constantly giving me distractions.
I've just discovered you can use magnesis on your own metal weapons, and use them as lightning conductors this way.

How do you find out how long you've played so far ?

I'm the same I actually realised the other night I had **** all of the area covered as I keep getting side tracked.ive tried playing many games like this and normally am bored and lost within a week. This really is brilliantly balanced ,I get side tracked and lost but I don't mind and eventually go back to the task at hand.

I've managed 34ish shrines so far as said I've managed about 1/3 to 1/2 the map ..2 korok seeds :problem: and 1 beast ,I went back to vah Ruta when I got more bows/arrows.i haven't managed to tame a "wild" horse yet ,keep being thrown off, only got one from battles

Horses are easy, just use a sneaking food/elixir and creep up behind them then use L to calm them down.

Installed the Parental Controls last night. It has far more granular tracking available, but only logs from the time they are activated. It's been done really well.

Played 2 rounds of Splatoon 2 before I gave up in disgust.

Round 1: jumped straight in. Motion controls active, I am in handheld mode. It's unplayable as far as I'm concerned.

Round 2: disabled motion controls, turned up normal control sensitivity. Started playing. Too sensitive - hit the options button... wait... no in game options? I have to quit out of the entire thing to tweak a setting?

It was running nicely 60fps with no disconnects or anything dubious. Did seem like it was more suited to a big screen than in handheld.

Realise this was a load test and not a real demo, but if there is no real demo available once it's out that I can properly trial the controls in I'll be skipping it for sure.

(Still chipping away at BOTW, and it's still giving me surprises).

Got Binding of Isaac, which I played for 10 minutes before going back to BOTW. Not being dismissive, just aware that it takes a while to get into and that's time I'd prefer to spend as Link at the moment.

MK8 is pre-ordered.

I'd like Snipperclips but I'm point blank refusing to buy anything digitally until refunds/resales are a thing and/or save game backup to SD is a thing.

Still no friends.

Frost Talus  Not difficult, just fiddly. Did like the way that a strategy I'd been using on others of its species was entirely nulled by a small difference in its movement pattern.

Finally cracked the East Gerudo Ruins last night. I found the location very early on in the game, when I had no gear and was relying on drugs to survive the environment. Looked easy, spent the time to test my theory, failed. Stumbled across it again a bit further in and tried something different, failed. Ignored it a few times, carried on with the rest of the game. Got some special gear, went back to take a closer look and spotted some details I'd missed before. Didn't clock what they were for but tried something I thought might work, failed. Finally stumbled across the NPC you get the actual quest for the Ruins from, and with the hint from them and the memory of another puzzle put two and two together went back and cracked it.

I guess it is solveable without getting the related quest first, and the solution is laughably simple. But because of the scale of it and all the associated environmental concerns this one puzzle has provided me about 3 hours of entertainment.

This game :awe:

This is one of those games to show to people that say video games are all the same and a waste of money.
