Well it was supposed to be... Yet not available to buy, just preorders at the moment, online that is. Dunno about the high street... Don't fancy bumping into chavs.spmbx wrote:Isn't that one of the launch games?skykappah wrote:Arrived a few hours ago! But kids are back from school.... Which are the opinions of the real players? definately want a Switch considering Vita is starting to lack new games, but I can't thrust in "paid" media... what I have read:
Pros:
Nice and high quality components. The screen looks great and menus go fast. It is easy and Switches really fast between docked and portable. Zelda is awesome and lots of indie games being developed
Cons:
I have read it has uncomfortable controls, some wifi problems, no led to check if the battery is charging, you can't switch off at all when docked, and battery drains quickly
Software side, some lag and unprecise controls in Bomberman R and low fps in Dragon Quest I&II

How long between opening first game and licking the cart? I reckon Cools took all of about 30 seconds.

Re: Super Nintenbros!
I know what that stuff tastes like, and it never bothered me before during nail biting prevention attempts.
I'm really pleased with the console and the game. I can nit pick anything so there's no point in doing that - hardware is great.
Zelda isn't Zelda, far from it. It's an amalgamation of good ideas from so many games and works well. I keep getting the same feeling as I had when playing the original Tomb Raider for the first time, it has that same atmosphere and sense of space and surprise. It also likes to kill you for making a mistake - I've died a LOT. It's flipping gorgeous too, visually and sonically.
Quite surprised to see all the stuff available in the eShop already even though I'm not bothering with any of it.

Oh yeah I did struggle to get it on WiFi initially but that seemed to be a signal strength issue. Moving nearer the AP sorted it, and it's been fine since wherever.

Re: Super Nintenbros!
Mine's back in the box and returning for a refund this weekend. It's the first new console I've bought that's been faulty.
I've had sync issues when connected and disconnected on both L&R and it won't connect to wifi whatever I try. Even tethered to my phone I have to keep reentering the password every time.
I've tried a factory reset but then couldn't get past the first screen where it prompts to click the Cynthia in as R won't register.
The carts don't even taste that bad
**** you Nintendo.

Re: Super Nintenbros!
Only two major gripes from me. You can't backup saves at all. Anti-hacking is the reason I guess, but not having online backup either? Sort that out.
And there's no way of having it powered in tabletop mode without a massive third party accessory. I understand why but with a little more extra thought it could've been done with a tiny little adapter without compromising docked or handheld modes at all. Seems like a missed opportunity.

Refund Crunchy? Not replacement?

Re: Super Nintenbros!
I'd love to be chatting with Nintendo customer service on their website right now.
"Hello, my Switch isn't working. What should I do?"
"Hello sir, I am here to help, sir. Do you have a laptop, tablet or smartphone, sir?"
"Oh, why yes I do."
"Please turn them off, sir"
