Capcom C boards - specifically SF2 World Warrior

Post by NoAffinity »

So, I've got a handful of working and non-working C boards. The custom chip across all of them having the following labels: CPS-B-05, CPS-B-17, CPS-B-21.

Are these all interchangeable?

To that end, what is the interchangeability across different games? Obviously, the SF2 games need the kick adapter to be able to play properly, but are there other differences?

They are not interchangeable (as in their combination with the games) but they are sure interchangeable between boards.

They're different on register addressing order and plane priorities. They're the actual copy protection of the system.

The PAL you're talking about do set the graphic ROMS addresses inside the graphics bus address space. Yet another piece of the puzzle. :awe:
