Got this C board as part of a non-working board. CCX had been amputated from the board, with its legs still connected at the solder joints. I pulled CCX from another non-working C board, soldered it on, and lo and behold, a known good A+B set booted right up and ran with no problems with this repaired C board. As you can see, the C board apparently took some damage, which likely caused the CCX to disappear. I tested all lines around apparently damaged areas, and confirmed no traces were damaged.

CCX is just a power bypass capacitor. Usually it missing is not enough to cause a fault.

Well, it wasn't working with a known good A+B set, before replacing CCX. In fact, I tested it with (2) different known good sets. I made no other repairs to the board, and now it's working.leonardoliveira wrote:CCX is just a power bypass capacitor. Usually it missing is not enough to cause a fault.
