I have a favourite/bookmark set to http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/search.php ... d=newposts and never use anything else...
Software is due an upgrade so the theme will need patching again, will look into it when that happens.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Weird. Cleaned all the caches and hit my "delete all board cookies" button (at the bottom) and it seems okay now.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Is it possible that the AO tweets be autobotted into a thread? They're often worth a conversation imo, and a lot of members never check the front page.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
I registered because I saw somebody is selling something I'd like to purchase. After logging in, the system says I don't have access to that forum... Kinda silly. How do I gain access to the wanted forum?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
No-one gets immediate access to the marketplace, thus cutting down on the number of vultures, scammers and spambots we have. Pretty much standard practice on any community forum, other boards have much stricter policies than ours.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Is the option to PM to a person from a thread now gone ? it seems a bit awkard to do now
<trk>:I remember catching a big fat one and my friend said "throw it back in, that one already tastes like wood"

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Little bit of a necro on an old topic. I have noticed I have nearly stopped using AO altogether since I started using tapatalk, and my usage of shmups has increased because it's so easy. So +1 to tapatalk support.system11 wrote:Why isn't this forum available on Tapatalk yet?

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Never happening. What the shmups admins do is their decision. Tapatalk burned any bridges it may have had with me a couple of years ago due to some pretty spectacular privacy and security issues (they basically added a function that allowed them to read the whole forum database without consent of the site owner). I never liked it as a concept prior to that nail in the coffin.
I do need to get around to fixing some of the little niggles raised here. The trouble is I am not a PHP developer, and the feedback extension we are using has seemingly been abandoned by the author - I am worried about making any big changes at the moment in case that breaks...

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Can someone please change the "I eat Plopp" to something else? How 'bout "I like salty licorice" insdead..
I guessing this is because someone got some swedish candy from secret santa. I really don't like "plopp" and wouldn't buy it..
