Xbox 360 - Design and Production - an Insiders view
A quality article on the Xbox 360 design process and production is now available on the VentureBeat website.
It goes indepth into the design process, the highs the lows the failures and the true scale of the RROD saga.
A very interesting read

Just buy one - although i have a PS3 i only use it to play mkv hd rips, the 360 is the best machine for gaming by far, TBH the online on ps3 sucks soooo bad, whereas 360 is seamless in its integration.innerpattern wrote:is this something I want to read before purchasing one or should ignorance remain bliss?
Of course, you have to be prepared to send 'em back to M$ at least once a year for repair!!

I have both and the 360 gets 90% of the playtime over the PS3.
If you fancy gaming online then the 360 is the only choice.
I have had 4 in my possession over the years and none of them have ever RROD, I own a launch premium and a newer HDMI Falcon Chipset one at present.

Re: Xbox 360 - Design and Production - an Insiders view
I bought a 360 just to play SF Hyper online (big mistake). I was thinking to buy a PS3 here in Singapore once SFTHD gets released (I dig the white PS3). But now that I read your opinions I might reconsider that. Is online really that bad on PS3? Why?
I basically would only play SFHD

Are you saying that the PS3 online mode is complicated (i.e. non user friendly)? How is it "lag wise"?Lordstar wrote:its the online process I am recall its almost the same as the PS2 online system if what ive heard is right? and the PS2 online was balls
