Fired up the RetroPie box again to remember why these first party emulation boxes always suck in comparison. Can't even be bothered to try and flip some, there's easier ways of making money than dealing with the idiots on eBay.

Im prolly gonna try to get one just because why the hell not. But if I cant get it then oh well.

Hopefully Nintendo doesnt skim the supply again... but thats being to optimistic ofc they will only manufacture a small number of these so they can guarantee supply will sell out. I think they just do this crap now so they can get some hype around the Nintendo name brand at the cost of meeting a higher demand. We all know they want to sell those virtual console games on the switch this holiday.

150 euros in Finland :eh:

Possibly just placeholder pricing. Doesn't seem to deter people though, sold out already in some places.

I don't need one, as I have a Snes linked into a PVM at present.

But I caved in anyway, and got a pre-order. :shifty:

A big **** you to Nintendo though, for enabling scalpers on a generic Chinese made bit of kit.

So this just leaked was released a few days ago, controller ports for the SNES Classic:

Imo, they should not have had a plastic plate that folds down. It just looks atrocious. Should have worked the controller ports in to the model like with the NES Classic.

Oh whoops. Fixed it in my original post. Just had someone link me to it and I looked it up and the only article that I saw had it was only posted a couple hours back. My apologies.

I'm interested to see what happens with the scalping market. After the demongstration from all those Mini NES ebay buyers, everyone's now looking to order a spare or ten. Honestly, how many are Nintendo actually supposed to produce?

Allegedly Argos has messed up it's pre-order applications and won't have enough to go round (at the moment), same with Amazon.

Plus GAME is having it's annual 'We are doing financially really badly, and might have to close down' festival.

So, things are going smoothly.

I saw Game told shareholders they've had a bad year due to Switch shortage.

I used to work at Gamestation who Game owned. It's a wonder how places like that stay afloat in the first place.... Say you buy a game at wholesale price, which is more than you think.... if something is £39.99 you pay around £25-30 depending. Roughly you hover around more or less 20 odd percent.
But not long after, other companies start discounting wars. They cancel each other out and nobody makes money and a lot of times they lose money... and you know everybody hardly makes much per console either... Now with digital media overtaking physical media... I'm totally amazed places like HMV and Game aren't dead already. EA reckon 40% of video games will be from downloads by years end. After that and beyond? Well it's gonna be crap...
