Alright, time for a little personal rant.

We should not bring **** and moaning after the memory if SNK into this. Everyone who is sane knows that SNKP is a different company. I'm not saying SNKP is bad, as that company brought us one of the best fighting games ever, KOF XIII.

Being a fan of SNK in general and being a fan of KOF are two things. Usually the people falling under the first description are collectors who don't play fighting games with a passion, while the latter group has serious fighting game fans who don't just play the 'mainstream' stuff that's again and again sold to the masses with the pretense that they're beginner friendly. These guys and girls know what they're playing. So, knowing how much these KOF fans have invested their time in the series I think it's fair to be disappointed with what we saw in the teaser trailer.

One more thing about the graphics in this new teaser trailer. A lot of fans are being rather vocal about disliking the 3D graphics. But I think we should not just look at that as just whining for the sake of it and forget what a lot of people "in the FGC" have said about the previous game. Apparently to some XIII is "ugly" and most of the people who think so blame the filtering applied to the character sprites. I've seen comments that deem the game unplayable because of that. It's ridiculous.

So it's not simply about good old SNK switching to 3D. It's about SNKP who already gave us a great game now trying to appeal to an audience that didn't appreciate their games in the first place. What a waste.

No, I do play them, I'm just **** at them. Favourite being SF3.3 then Garou. All I have right now is a SF3.2 setup though...
