I think Cave released a patch literally the other day to properly support tate in Steam Mushi on various kinds of monitors.

Disappointing about Deathsmiles being the second game, but totally predictable. Oh well.

Don't you guys have these already on 360 or arcade? I know I do and not sure if I would buy them again on Steam.
Rather have something special like this as a physical copy etc. but that's only me :)

No 360, and I'm not keeping a Mega Black PCB lying around for the moments I fancy playing it.

Will get it on Steam whenever there's the inevitable sale price.

Mushihimesama on steam was the Cave game i spent the most time ever, don't ask me why. So i guess i'll also buy Deathsmiles, even i have it on the XBOX 360.

I think this is also a way to show Cave that there is still interest in their games. :awe:

I feel ridiculous enough having already bought the 360 LE, the platinum release which came with MBL unlocked, and the Cave Box Collection (though I sold most of my LEs once I got this).
Thankfully I don't play games on my desktop anymore. I will not be buying deathsmiles for a 4th time, though I would buy a sequel set to Valentine's Day.

Is it any good? I used to have Mushi pcb and was.. still is my all time fave Cave game. Still keep regular and LE 360 versions but for sheer convenience steam sounds good once it's on sale and if it's a good port. :)

You're asking about Mushihimesama on steam? Yes it's good, love it. Ofcourse it's not the same as when you sit at the cabinet with the pcb, but for me the game plays the same. But as i said i'm a shmup noob and wouldn't see the tiny differences.

Today marks the second Cave release guys!!! Deathsmiles! Its 10% off right now on steam so 17.99 for the promo package which includes the OST. This sale ends on March the 17th. So unless you want to wait for another sale that this game might be in, you will want to jump on it! :D

Edit appears it was actually yesterday. Who da heck cares it still feels like it just got released to me XDDDD

Generally much better.

+ significantly better audio
+ fixed/improved modes, and extra modes
+ lots of practice options, replay saving, etc
+ some have both arcade and HD graphics settings

- occasionally inaccurate slowdown
- a few games only have low res graphics with filters
- a few only have hires graphics
- pink sweets is missing the infinite lives glitch

So considering all prices, looks like worth buying and playing a Japanese Xbox with this Cave shooting collection and play them all in a Blast city, New Net city or better on a Vewlix, true?

Cave's pccb prices are very prohibitive :-o

you cannot afford that pack either rocco xD but you can try and "not" pirate a x360 to "not" play it if you know what i mean. on a CRT it's always better.

@Rocco where in navarra do you live? i'm from the north too

Yeah that's the way to go imho, and I use PCBs and a JP 360 in the cabs. Blast or NNC are fine, no need for viewlix.
The CAVE collection doesn't inclue Ketsui or DOJ-blex, both are worth getting separately though :D Also, I use a mini scanline generator with the VGA and it's a damn good image on the Blast City monitor. The sound runs straight from the 360 via RCA into the 001 loom's line input. Controls are really all you need to work out.
