Internet shopping sure sucks the fun out of collecting. I couldn't find the Madballs I wanted as a kid but at least I didn't have to watch them slip through my fingers.

A Mario Amiibo found his way into my latest Amazon box this time  Only 9 quid though. They're quality little figures and a really neat DLC gimmick at that price. I can see why kids would love them. Nice little earner for Nintendo. As for them being rare though :lolno: Give up on the collecting now, there will be dozens of the things.

Yeah, different version of the same character indeed. I dunno if you've noticed but in the top left corner of the amiibo packaging, you should see the name of the game it's from. The current lot we have seen are from Super Smash Brothers.
Look, Image

This one in your photo is from the Mario Party wave. So if there's going to be new waves of amiibos for each Nintendo game.
This is why I'm gonna finish once I complete the SSB wave, of which I can't because of Nintendo and their despicable sales tactics.

I'm not going to be completest but even so there are a lot of characters that I want.

I also looked at Disney infinity the other day. Dunno how I resisted Jack Skellington.

Sold mine. Was a fun little diversion tracking them all down but ultimately they're a bit pointless. I don't even particularly like SSMB. :shifty:

Good job breaking free.

If you were to chase a complete boxed set it'd end up filling a room.

Didn't do it for the "omg rare" profit of course, but made about £40 on what I paid for waves 1&2, before the 15% eBayPal tax. So nothing really, considering the investment of time and effort to track them all down.

Anyway, it was fun collecting them. 8-)

Took a spin up to Northern Ireland today. Even the CEX in this gaf I'm in now has Marth and Yer Wan out of Wii Fit for £22 each.

Madness. Utter madness.

Hey fellow Euro brothers... I gotta possibly stupid question... forgive me... But do your country's Amiibo's packaging come all in your country's language first and then the other languages follow? Do German Amiibo's have predominantly Deutsch text? Finland Amiibo in Suomi? My English ones have the English text first followed by French then German in that order etc..

Reason being... I'm finding it hard to track down some Amiibos... And I wonder about it..

I believe there are 3 packaging flavours, Japan, USA and Euro. So any you buy from europe should have exactly the same packaging as those you buy here. The confusing part is only some characters have Euro packaging with alternative names listed underneath in French and German (e.g. Mario is just Mario all over the world).
