PS4 Arcade Sticks

Post by SuperPang »

So GGXrd is out next month. Are there any PS4 sticks on the market worth looking at other than the HRAP V4 and the new Madcatz?

Is the PS4 not backwards compatible with wired PS3 controllers?

Street Fighter 4 Bigdick Upper Omega Plus is indeed getting a ps4 and xbone release. It was unofficially announced by Madcatz when the cat was let outta tha bag when they announced they were making sticks for the ps4 and xbone.

You can buy a controller converter to use your old sticks.

If you are prepared to buy/use the converter thing mentioned above, I hear good things about Qanba sticks...

I spunked a load of cash on a HRAP V4 and some funky buttons. Spose I'd better get a PS4 now.

How about "man who likes Street Fighter games, doesn't like all Street Fighter games".

SF4 is second only to SF2 in terms of how successful it is. I like it, despite the fact that it's "cool" not to.

I heard you can drive the ladies wild by telling them you don't like SFIV.

The hayabusa is a pretty nice stick. I'd recommend a button swap, but the in house produced joystick is rock solid and on par with sanwa. The fact that it works on both PS3 and 4 is also a huge plus.

The controller issue is a joke. Microsoft initially promised eventual backwards compatibility but then went quiet. Sony aren't much better. However, from what I understand the skull girls folks made a backwards compatible ps3 to ps4 driver which they make freely available to other devs...

Licensing, aka the easy money!

Just got a HRAP V4 Hayabusa from Amazon UK @ £75 with free shipping. Looks like this is a legit Hori UK product, not an import.

I don't yet actually have a PS4 for it but gave it a quick run out on the PS3. It feels a bit not-so-heavy-duty compared to the Madcatz SF4 TE (some might say a bit cheap and plastic-y) but I suppose it's to be expected for the price. Also I think I'll be replacing both the stick and buttons at some point, but they'll do for now. FWIW it looks very nice :shifty:

edit: looks like Amazon have now jacked the price up to £82 for some reason

Well that's a swift kick in the ****. I ordered from Japan and it's cost me a lot more than that. Also it was supposed to be delivered today but it seems to have taken Parcelfarce 24hrs to click the "release" button after I paid the customs charge.

:problem: :problem: :problem: :problem: :problem:

Get em while they're hot folks.

Decent stick this. Not the last word in build quality but it's nice and light. The Hayabusa stick is very much like a Sanwa.
