Yeah my heart did sink a bit when I read that. I don't even know why I'm excited, it's in near permanent residence in my games room. The games industry has got really good at selling me games I've already played. I'll be all over Wipeout and Crash Bandicoot too. :problem:

Did anyone try the Garou port? Is it arcade perfect and how is the online play? Would love to play against friends online.

Last night I turned the lights off and started INSIDE. I could not stop playing until it was over, an unbelievable experience throughout, a masterpiece :awe:
A few of the puzzles stumped me, but never enough to give up, just the right level of difficulty for my numbskull. It took me between 5-6 hours in all and there were several times I thought I had reached the end, only to be utterly awed by the perfect transitions into the next chapter. There are a lot of hipster indie games these days, it's hard for someone like me (who has basically taken an entire generation off from console gaming) to know what to play. INSIDE is one of the worthwhile ones that shouldn't be missed.

Saw some gameplay footage of the Last Guardian. Had to stop the video, as it would be a shame to see any more.

Really want to get this now, and I can get a PS4 & TLG for £220. I keep hovering over the 'buy' button.

I bought one a week ago and haven't unboxed it, but there are enough exclusives to justify it now imo.

Edit: but hold out for a better deal. I paid £190 for a 1tb slim and 3 games. I'd be tempted by a pro if you can hang off a few weeks you'll get it for £300. TLG runs much better at 1080p on the pro. The std ps4 drops to the low 20FPS :problem:

If you don't want to wait or buy a Pro :shifty:

Best deal I've seen with TLG

Cool that that shop to one comes with a different edition of the game.

Argos & Amazon do the £220 deal with the normal version of the game.

I said to myself ages ago that I would wait until there is a GT game before getting a PS4. As no doubt GT Sport will run better on a pro - and to hear you say that TLG drops to 20fps then I'll just have to wait it out a bit longer to get a deal on the pro.

Thanks for the heads-up on the 20fps that's a ****!

The 2 "free" items at shopto are a choice of games. No idea what amazon and Argos are doing as the deals change all the time.

I would and probably should have waited on a pro deal :problem:

There have been better alternatives to GT for years now.

I've played about 90 minutes of TLG. It looks like a PS3 game (because it kinda is), the framerate is indeed nauseating at times. The camera is annoying, the controls are clumsy and dated and the game is still absolutely wonderful.

It's probably a sign of times to come; games will run ok-ish on the pro and like a dog on the regular ps4, as opposed to what Sony says it'll function

I had some Yen going spare so rather than wait a week for the European release I downloaded the Japanese version of WGR.
The new characters are a handful at first (particularly Doris :hinthint: ) but it's generally fabulous, especially with scanlines on and the screen width set to 100.

Looks cool. I don't think I've played the original

I'm playing Dragon quest heroes whilst wait on the uncharted collection being delivered from the dark side of the moon, before I move on to uncharted 4.

I've got some catching up to do

I just started Suda51/Grasshopper's new free2play title Let It Die. Basically this is video game crack.

Let it die is disturbingly addictive. I just got Garegga collectors edition in the mail and and stop thinking about how someone might have raided my base while I was asleep, or if my characters are back from their overnight expeditions and what sort of booty they'll have brought back. SUDA51 and his crew are ingenious. Let it Die also has a dark art style that reminds me so much of one of my favorite artists, Ashley Wood http://www.ashleywood.com and his toy/comic series http://www.worldofthreea.com (who illustrated the Metal Gear Solid comic, also Contra Shattered Soldier box art.

From what i've read you either fall in the love it or hate it category :) People seem to universally agree the soundtrack is ace, but i refuse to listen to it before i can actually play it :problem:

Congratulations! Pang, would you try if there's 640x480 tate support?

I have read PS4 is capable of outputting 640x480p through HDMI... I would like to know if it should be proper for installing in a cab

There are loads of tate options so yes, if you can get the hardware to do its thing you should be fine.

As always with ports, the M2 badge is a seal of quality. It's got all the options you could need and Manabu Namiki's new mix is lovely.

I'm too cheap to buy the game myself outside of a sale, but still i'm quite sure you can forget about a 640x480 tate option. For one the PS4 itself doesn't support <720p output (apart from maybe during some recovery mode? or screenshot mode?), at least not as a resolution you can select in the dashboard. It doesn't really make sense on an HDMi console anyway since no 4:3 screens will have HDMI input. This would be the niche of the niche of the niche territory, if technically even possible on ps4.
I've checked some videos of guys walking through the options. My Japanese is not that great :palm: but still i see no signs here of a 4:3 option. The box is always in 16:9 format, and i always see the gray wallpaper.

Video options quick walkthrough here:
