She's looking nice again mate. I'm thinking more high class hooker rather than slag :)

Now I'm going to need to think about removing some of my JVS wiring and just using the river service loom with less wiring

They are indeed, it was some hard work getting them to look like that from this:

Thanks chaps

I should like to thank the following for their help in making this happen:

imaji for deciding he wanted something else :awe: , johnbud for facilitating the sale, arranging the delivery (with iamcromby) and for the new burn-free Sanwa monitor and feet, FrancoB the monitor supports, bezel, light jewel, ballast and marquee holder, Craig10p for servicing the chassis, the artwork, the new surround, cp lower, base top lid, Goatboy for the coin slot, Gremlin for the buttons and meshballs, tonybologna for the PSU (yonks ago), crackhorn for the loom (yonks ago), a guy called geotropolis for sending me the top hooks outside of eBay, Adam for the incoming coin mech cradle and chute, Geezer for the incoming bolt covers, richy for the incoming 100yen coin mech SeanMCS for the incoming marquee inserts.

...and everyone who bought stuff off me in the last two months that funded this project and the 600+ mile round trip to Craig's and Franco's

Awesome, I think I may start on my legs this weekend :)

I have these luuuurvly purple ones I need to cut down, strip and polish:
Image
I got them off Adam when I bought a cab years ago and I seem to think they were Sindj's before that (what were you thinking Sindj? :awe: )

I guess the best plan would be to chop them down, strip them with Nitromors and then start polishing them?

Lulz, those are lovely

I sanded the paint off rather than use Nitro mors, I figured it would make less mess... probably a lot more work right enough.

Have fun with Nitromorse. Spilled a drop of that stuff from the brush next to my eye (had safety glasses on). Hurted like hell so i removed it quickly. Was also a Naomi leg strip job. The endresult was wonderful tho. 8-)

Sanding the legs would destroy the surface and you have to paint them. They're nice and smooth when stripped with Nitromorse. I left em blank.

Thinking about it, I may try some Loctite 7200 Gasket Remover, I used it to strip the paint off a Confidential Mission bezel.

It was actually a little to fierce for the plastic and it softened it unless you were quick to apply it, remove the paint and then rinse it down.

I may 'borrow' a can from work and try it on a little section of the leg to see if it brings the paint off. Hopefully it will work and will save me buying some Nitromors.

Either way the legs will be sanded/polished afterwards. Depending on the condition of the legs I'll probably use 180>240>320>400>600>800>1000/1200 grit and then some Autosol.

I'm hoping they won't be too damaged and I can just start with the higher grades.

Normally you can't get away with jumping grades that much but it looks like you can with it being ally. Bonus.

Just tried some of the Loctite 7200 on a cupboard door at work ( :shh: ) and it seems to work on painted metal nicely :)

He's been quite receptive to me contacting him outside of eBay, and prices he's offered have been sensible.

I have a spare Sanwa fit Naomi Bezel that I would sell Dandy? If thats any good for you?

Cab looks great dude.

Franco, the purple legs were not sindj's, I swapped them before I sold the cab to him with some better ones as I bought the purple repainted cab of Ebay for the monitor and Naomi hardwars and a few spares so most when in the bin! :)
