Hi forumgods, is the "Business, Auctions, Member Services & Projects" subforum a feedback deadzone? I'd like happy customers to be able to leave me feedback on my Marquee Group Order thread, but I suspect they can't at present. :(

Is it just me who really doesn't like the new feedback system? The old way worked fine.

That said, I'd probably still light my house with oil lamps and live in a shack in the woods given the opportunity.

I think the new system is improved in theory, but the button to actually give feedback isn't particularly obvious and as it isn't there most of the time lots of folks don't know it exists or where to look for it.

Really needs a button on everyone's feedback profile too.

I also think the little extended Contact buttons are a bit counter-intuitive too. It's fine when you know where those buttons are, but they're not very visible or obvious. Fine for skype and stuff that nobody ever uses, but imo the PM button should be elsewhere.

As for private sales feedback I can see areas where it would be desirable, however it is not possible with the extension as it is (despite the backend being technically capable of it, or I wouldnt have been able to transfer the old feedback).

Echo. :(

If anyone wants to come on board to develop the extension further, I'm all ears. The original author hasn't done much in a while: https://github.com/rfdy/trader

Could people please read this whole thread before having a moan about the feedback system

To summarise:

A. The buyer has the leave feedback first, from the sales thread.
B. The new system is our only option at present and
C. We're open to suggestions for rearranging so member services can get feedback.

Being fully armed with the information does not preclude one having a moan anyway. ;)

If it's the best available then fine. Have had a quick look at the code and I wouldn't know where to start tbh. :(

I did read the thread... maybe I'm being thick but it wasn't made entirely clear if the Business section had feedback or not, hence my request for clarity.

Btw, new feedback system sucks  :P

Took a peek at the code but being PHP it's way out of my ballpark :(

For whatever it's worth I like the new feedback system being connected to a sales thread and all (I know I'm a rare case, I'm used to that). Though in a way it doesn't make sense since the threads are purged after 90 days IIRC. Also tbh I've had to direct buyers for them to find out how to leave fb :eh: So intuitive is probably not the first word that comes into mind.

If someone wanted to design a new button that fits and is more visible that'd be great (for both themes).

I reckon the business and auctions section should be limited just to that - genuine businesses and off site sales. All member stuffs then go into the appropriate normal sections.

Thanks for moving the thread, I'm not massively fussed about feedback but at least when people ask now I can point them in the right direction. 8-)

Hey! I sold a wwf wrestlemania pcb recently and trying to give the buyer feedback but the only post in the thread that has the "thumbs up" icon is my own post and I cannot give feedback to myself so that doesn't make sense. I double checked that the thread was created with me as the Seller. It's the wwf wrestlemania thread on the first page. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!!

You have to receive feedback from the buyer before you can reciprocate.

Is it possible to scroll back through the pages of historical feedback for a user?

Cheers,

Ralph.

I wish you could. The extension seems to have been abandoned.

Thanks for the confirmation, I just thought I'd check I hadn't missed anything.
