Re: Nanao MS8-29SU
Sorry for the thread necromancy but I am repairing a a ms8 29su (Nanao 05A00362G1) with a vertical collapse problem.the chasis comes from a never serviced before astro city.
I got a couple of questions:
When I took out c433 it seems it was 50v 1 uf instead of the recommended replacement of 50v 10uf, is there any problem if I use the 50v 10uf replacement?
Also when I took out the Q402 transistor it have the series number of a1408 and after consulting with a friend that have more electronics knowledge than myself it appears that the mentioned transistor is a pnp one while the 2sd1571 its a npn one. Does this would be a problem? Can I put the 2sd1571 to replace the a1408?

Re: Nanao MS8-29SU
that info is not correct, it looks like a modified post- its not my original post
ms8-29 use an ic for vertical deflection, in your situation replace the components if faulty with same value you remove
