MS2930

Post by Cycl0ne »

Hi,
i got a MS2930 which works, but has some flaws with the remoteboard. Its cable is missing :)

Anyone know which connectors i need to order at digikey/RS-Electronics, seems the one is wider as the other one? i would customize one myself.

2nd all pots on the remote board are rusty and i would like to replace them. An Idea which i need?

You could measure the pots with a multimeter.

Is there no text engraved or painted on their side?
My 15kHz cabinet Peplos will never power up, with any item, and I am quite proud of that.

This look like remote board for 2934 possibly since there is no dipswitches. It's possible that the wire is compatible with yours.

The wiring is the same, yeah. Blasts have an extension harness for the front panel and I was able to use the extension harness with both an MS2930 and an MS2934 using their respective front panels.

Ok,

crafted now a cable, here are some pictures, if someone needs also cable. contact me.

Now im replacing the pots. Following i found out:

Trimmerpots seems to be 5k Ohm (2EE nothing about it found in the net), i measured all three, 2 where 5k Ohm, 1 was showig 11k ohm (the rusty one).

For the other Pots, i scratched the rust and found the following:
4 * 10k Ohm ALPS Pots
1 * 5k Ohm ALPS Pot (for contrast)

Cheers.
