Monitor Discolouration

Post by trev1976 »

Hi

Ive noticed a slightly annoying problem with my monitor.

its a MS8-26 Nanaos

Problem is if i have a white image on the left hand side of the screen for a while and quickly swap back to a coloured image it will be discouloured for about 10 seconds before righting itself , any idea if this can be sorted ? its not a major issue just abit annoying , please see the below pics

Thanks

All good

Very strange. How old is the tube/chassis combo? Does it do this with normal RGB signals from a Jamma game?
Could be the tube is becoming lazy, and the fosfor coat is warming up from the full-on white signal. Is it properly adjusted for good RGB levels?

I'm not sure how old the tube/chassis combo is but this was a NOS Aero so it's probably had 6yrs use in total (home use)

I've never noticed it with PCB's only the PC..

I think the RGB levels are ok , the colours certainly look fine in the test pattern.

Could do. It's a HD4350 so it's getting on a bit. :)
