No fullscreen? Help!
Question for you guys:
I've got an astro, and I've messed with the display control panel a little to help, however, the image will not fill my screen despite me controlling the width/height of the display. Is there something I'm missing? I've attached some images of what it looks like.
I know this is likely a beginner question so thanks in advance!

possibly a nanao ms8 or ms9
they have extra controls on the main chassis, your pincushion needs adjusting as well

There's a photo of the chassis pots in the wiki:

Try adjusting the H.S.LIM pot.

Re: No fullscreen? Help!
Good luck. The SPC15 pot's the one for adjusting pincushion.

Re: No fullscreen? Help!
So, its definitely better! However, it doesnt completely fill the screen, there is about a few cm of black space on the sides before it gets distorted. MUCH better than the images I sent before.

Re: No fullscreen? Help!
So, disclaimer: still learning a lot of this, lol.
The width jumper youre referring to, is this the small control panel that adjusts width, height, contrast and horizontal/vertical shift?
What I was able to do is adjust the horizontal reach and pincushion simultaneously while on a dot hatch screen to get something where there was no distortion. When I could fill the screen, there was a small central region of horizontal distortion, when I adjusted anything else it distorted centrally. Definitely a very small area of adjustment made lots of differences!

Re: No fullscreen? Help!
the width jumper is a wire that can go to either N(narrow) or W(wide) header pins on the chassis
the horizontal size limit(h.s lim) pot should do the job on its own

Re: No fullscreen? Help!
I see! Thanks for the save again. I'll try using the alternate pin near the jumper and see what the adjustment does! Thanks.
Follow-up for you: Do various boards have different displays despite the monitor settings? If I were to have a CPS3 game hooked up as I currently do, and switched to (for example) a neo geo board, would I have to re adjust things?

yes different boards will need adjusting, normally its just the remote board adjustments once you get one board set correctly
