Thanks to monouchi & Videotronics finally I could buy a Tosh PF monitor to replace the crappy Wei-Ya one in my Egret 3 cabinet.
It was a little tricky for me, since It's needed to remove all the metal structure of the monitor and put it into the cabinet in 2 parts: tube and chassis.
It's working great, or at least half great
When I plug the GroovyMame PC everything is smooth. All frequencies look beautiful so no problems here.
Not that good when using the Jamma connector, which is plugged into Out Zone now. It just goes out of sync and the image is barely visible.
Did I miss some sync cable / ground on the cabinet itself? Jamma games worked fine before I did the replacement.

Re: Replacing Egret 3 monitor
depends on chassis but most mutlisync have two connectors for rbg,one for 31k and the other for 15/25k

Re: Replacing Egret 3 monitor
It's a Toshiba D29C051 multisync monitor. Works both 15kHz and 31kHz if the input source is the PC.
Using same VGA cable plugged into VGA connector on the cabinet and using a 15kHz Jamma game the monitor fails to lock, displaying vertical / diagonal lines, so I don't know where the problem could be.

Re: Replacing Egret 3 monitor
As grant said, there are two input connectors on the chassis. Trace back the VGA cable and right next to it will be one marked 15 IIRC, plug it in there instead.

Re: Replacing Egret 3 monitor
also the original e3 wiring would have had a sync link in the pcb door area-that could cause issues with certain monitors

Re: Replacing Egret 3 monitor
That sync link was the problem!
Just unplugged it and it worked Also changed VGA to 15 input on monitor chassis.
Could you please detail the differences between both input connectors?
Thanks for all your help.

Re: Replacing Egret 3 monitor
Congrats on the Tosh skydrops.
The sync link is often forgotten, it is also well hidden below the door.
Input connectors have different resistance I think?
One is made for the stronger 15k signal. (Amp connector is usually used here, VGA on the other.)
