Just want to check that this is where I need to connect a VGA cable (for xbox360) to a MS2930 chassis and that I dont need to adjust anything else on the chassis itself? It looks tricky to access so any tips on this would be great (not had one of these cabs before!).
I know I will also need to remove the 6 pin AMP UP connector on the -001 loom and set the jumpers on the remote board to 31k/d-sub.
2930 is not an autosyncing monitor, so you need to make sure that the dip switches are set to the correct resolution settings BEFORE hooking up your console and turning it on. And while I never put a console in mine, but when I had an MS2930, I do believe that was where I connected the VGA.
Forgot to mention, is it ok to keep the xbox VGA cable connected to the monitor even if playing jamma in standard resolution, rather than having to remove it each time?
if you leave the VGA connected to anything , even if powered off, the chassis will detect it and the jamma RGB video signal will be un-amplified. so you always want to disconnect the VGA from your pc/xbox/etc when playing a jamma game.
Hi and thanks, and I assume its ok to keep the vga cable connected at the chassis though as long as the other end is disconnected, its just that it looks tricky to get to each time if I need to remove it from there as well?
